Hi Carrie, As posted.. our amenities are for our registered guests. It is not fair to our registered guests for others to arrive and enjoy our amenities. We do require a 10.00 guest fee if your friends and family are using the facility. We still have to clean up after them and it is wear and tear and again not fair that your friends are using the grills, bathrooms, etc. when they are for our registered guests. We simply ask for a 10.00 day fee. This is pretty standard practice. Your guests were more than welcome here. You asked me directly if they purchased a beer would that be okay, my reply was, "absolutely!" It is also posted that guests check in at the office. They did not. This property is our home and we like to know who is here. I am not sure what other rules you didn't like. They are pretty basic and frankly, standard wherever you go. We are glad you thought the property was beautiful. Saddened that you felt impelled to leave a 3 star. Take good care!

The cell tower is going up as I write this so cell service will be great throughout the area. When the Black Hills are full with tourist it is difficult to get through on your phone. We make it very aware in the information when you book that we do not have cell phone coverage. We do have WIFI and if you had asked I could have showed you how to enable WIFI calling so you could use your cell phone and of course as in any area it spends on who your carrier is. AT&T and Verizon work great. T-Mobile and Sprint not so well. Those carriers usually only work around larger cities. Another method to stay in touch is through the WIFI and messenger. Texting also works very well. Fiber optics and cell towers are on the way, but how long no one knows. I am sorry the lack of non-grip surface on the shower floor ruined your experience.
