The house is adorable and so is Highlands in general. We were there during a heat wave and the temperature in the house was comfortable after the first couple of hours. There was a flood watch one of the nights we were there due to rain but luckily there was no flooding (the house is elevated but we were worried about road closures.) My children loved the swings that look over the water at the park, Sandy Hook beach was beautiful and it was convenient to be so close to the ferry to NYC.

Highland home

The house was not very clean when we arrived. Its a older house and showed its age.didnt realize there is 3 sets of stairs to climb and the bedrooms ar on 3rd story.the portable ac unit didnt work .It was very hot inside home at times.The beds are very uncomfortable for everyone and in the bunkroom,was impossible to sleep on as the mattress was too old.overall the layout and the decks were nice.We had fun on decks ,gameroom and backyard.I wouldn't rent this property again,unless upgrades were mad.The outdated refrigerators barely cooled drinks.Pros...The area n location are great!

Great location for Sandy Hook beaches

We had a great 4-night stay on Bay Ave. The location is excellent, with an easy walk to several restaurants and bars, and as easy a drive to Sandy Hook as you can get. Enjoyed having a front and back porch, and had fun getting silly and playing ice hockey on a rainy day. There were a couple of things about the house that could’ve been better, but overall it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking to enjoy the Highlands area.

Great Host, Great Location

Our family had a wonderful time at Walker's home and found the home to be in a perfect location for our trip. The home is spacious with plenty of indoor/outdoor space and our kids especially enjoyed the game room downstairs. The location is ideal for a visit to Sandy Hook beach or enjoying the restaurants in the Highlands area. Walker was an excellent host who was immensely pleasant and communicative, would stay again!

Great location!

Our family of five adults enjoyed our stay and found it had everything we needed for a relaxing time. The house has plenty of spaces to spread out inside and out. There are two full baths and an outdoor shower so getting ready was never a problem. We especially enjoyed the front porch facing the park and water. The house is right on the main street of Highlands and in a great location to walk to some nice restaurants and bars. Thanks, Walker!

Sea breezes in Highlands

The house was great for 2 adults and 4 kids. We really enjoyed the front porch with water views and sea breezes! The kids love the downstairs area with the ping pong and foosball tables.

A great house

We were a family of 6, our children are between 14-20 years old. It was a great house to rent. There were a lot of nice outdoor and indoor space, both for eating, relaxing and playing. The kitchen was well equiped. The bedroom and beds were very comfortable. It’s a nice neighbourhood. Sandy hook is a short bike ride with nice beaches.

Perfect 4th of July Getaway!

My friends and I absolutely loved this house we were so bummed to leave :( Perfect size for 6 mid 20s girls and so close to such great restaurants and beaches. Walker was so helpful and very communicative when we needed help with things. Couldn’t recommend the property more, we hope to be back :)

Dance competition and mini vacation

This beach house was the perfect place to spend a week with friends and kids! Great location that is minutes to Sandy Hook Beach National Recreation Park. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises! Lots of restaurants and shops! Very attentive host if any issues arise!

Excellent Stay, Great Location!

Walker was fantastic and so is his house! He was easy to get in touch with and was so responsive. The house is in a great location! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a great rental property near the shore or local marinas!

Family trip

Walter’s place was perfect for our family trip. Very convenient location! Property was impeccably clean and well prepared. Walter was easily available by phone to help me figure out the smart lock. Would stay here again!

Our short stay was great. Location is within walking distance of many restaurants, etc as well as just across the street from the water/scenic park. Communication with owner was easy and fast.

Lovely extended stay in the highlands

I stayed at walkers property for three weeks with my family. Plenty of space, lovely decor, great location. The ACs provided plenty of cool air on very hot days. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stay in the highlands

Huge well equiped property across from harbor

Lovely rehabbed older home across from harbor. Quick drive to public beach or Sandy Hill beach. Easy walk to multiple restaurants. Kitchen is large and well equipped. Lots of steep narrow stairs to main level and then again to bedrooms. Great outdoor spaces in front and back of home. View of water on front porch. Owner was instantly accessable, and solved all minor problems quickly ( we had wrong wifi code initially). Would definately stay again. Cute town of Sandy Hook had lots to do.
