The Bear's Bliss was exactly as the listing descrives and more: it really looks like a real life Monet's painting. Our family spent Christmas week making core memories. 4WD truly not needed as stated. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and very, very cozzy. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Christmas meal for the 6 of us. We used the gas grille outside (bbq is a must for us!) and also the fire pit for corn cobs, salsage and smore's on sticks. Hottub is big enough for the whole family, but was too cold outside to enjoy it as much as we planned. I can't stop thinking about the view from the master bedroom and bathroom: the mountains! The privacy, the quietness and the dark sky (we miss it so much here in Orlando, FL), with the sound of the creek, gave some of my life's best nights of sleep! Location is perfect: North Georgia's and North Carolina's most beautiful cities only a few minutes away, as well as the attactions and natural beauties. Several supermarkets around. Everything you need and more. Kathy was very accommodating and replied my questions promptly. I'm so grateful: we had the most precious memories in this beautiful cabine in the mountains.

I absolutely love this place. The hot tub is therapeutic grade, and heats up super quick. It's right by the stream, so you have an amazing view, as you soak. Everything was in working order, and exactly as advertised. I will definitely be going back.

We recently stayed at this big cabin and the views are spectacular! There was plenty of room for 4 of us. The creek is lovely and peaceful. Beautiful bonfire pits! The hot tub is nice and in good working order. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of room for cooking. Would gladly stay again!

My family of 4 had a wonderful 6 night stay. Check in/check out was a breeze. Our kids enjoyed fishing in the creek although they never got a bite. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was great for making meals. I enjoyed my coffee in every seating area each morning. We were close to many fun adventures and always looked forward to a relaxing evening at the house. Kathy was a wonderful host.

This house and property are stunning. We had a wonderful stay. We had a small issue at check in and the owner (and her crew) were quick to resolve it. Great communication with the owner. My family and our friends spent the majority of our stay at the house because there was a lot to do onsite (including reading, cooking, hiking, playing in the creek, fire pit, hot tub, relaxing). However, we did spend a day in downtown Franklin and had fun. I have no doubt that my family and I will return. Thanks, Kathy, for sharing your amazing rental with us!

Beautiful retreat for our family! The house is huge and very comfortable, and the surroundings are gorgeous. Feels very secluded, but only a short drive to town. Comfortable with our 3 month old, and our 9 year old spent most of her time exploring the creek. We can’t wait to come back. It is a magical place! Kathy was easy to reach.

Amazing Creek!

We loved the creek behind the house. There were so many beautiful flowers. (Watch out for bees!) The kids were able to catch salamanders and crawdads. The firepit by the creek is in a perfect location. The smoke even seems to naturally blow away from the hillside, so you can sit by the fire without smoke going in your face. The kitchen provided metal wire marshmallow roasting sticks (very helpful). The hot tub was clean and in great condition. There is a great waterfall hike up the road. Pulling out of the driveway on a blind curve is a bit scary. It's a good idea to pull out forward. The view from the master bedroom is stunning. You can sit on any of the decks to drink coffee during the crisp, cool mornings.

Great time by the stream

Our family loved this indoor / outdoor stay by the stream in the mountains. We stayed busy with things to do around the property and it was close enough to town in case we needed to leave the private natural setting.

Amazing place

This place was amazing. The creek running through the property is awesome. The bridge ro cross to.the fire pits is what sets this spot in a place of its own. We are already planning another trip. Super large bedrooms and the tub upstairs is great for a relaxing bath.

My high expectations where exceeded. Best property ever!

This cabin is beautiful and offers all the comforts of home with a touch of rustic charm. It is such a special place, and truly felt like a home rather than the commercialized rentals that seem to be flooding the market currently. We stayed in early spring, and the thoughtful, natural landscaping that met us as we pulled into the drive reset my overwhelmed mind. As we walked in the front door, we realized quickly we were in for an amazing stay! The heated floor and cozy area rug of the huge entry way became the perfect spot for rainy day games and Lego sessions for my 3 boys. The kitchen was well-stocked, the gas range is amazing, and there was plenty of storage space as well. I loved how open and spacious it is, walk in closets, high ceilings upstairs; the main bedroom had its own living room! The beds were very comfortable, on the soft side, and had amazing linens. The sound of the creek was our nightly bedtime lullaby, as well as the music of each day. The house sits perfectly beside the creek, with so many seating spots with peaceful views.The hot tub was a highlight for our kids, as well as the magical bridge over the creek; a lovely natural playground. The location is secluded, but with easy access to town as well as hiking. We loved the cozy evenings by the fire, and games around the table in the river room. The host was great and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We can't wait to come back and enjoy this little slice of paradise again!

Friends get together

I had friends from Michigan and Alabama meet up here. The cabin was amazing, so many features that just made our stay top notch. The view in the master was beautiful. Sitting out by the fire pit was very comfortable. The only thing we had a problem with was the driveway because we had 2 F250's, one with a trailer... It was a tight squeeze, but other than that, I would highly recommend

Very Relaxing!

We were looking to relax over the holidays, and this was the place for it. The house was roomy and well decorated and had everything we needed. The creek that runs through the property provided "white noise" that allowed us to sit back and enjoy our time together.

The pictures on vrbo were great but didnt do this place justice, it was even better than it looks online. One of the best properties we have ever stayed at. My wife and I had one of the most relaxing weekends ever.
