The perfect mountain getaway! This home was lovely and enjoyed by everyone. Plenty of room for our family to spread out but also lots of common spaces to share time together. Everything was very comfortable and clean. It was a very short drive to downtown Highlands with fun shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Dolly Lodge is even better than the photos. Tastefully decorated, well equipped cook’s kitchen, multiple comfortable places to rest and relax, secluded location yet close to town and activities. Already planning our next visit.

Always a excellent place to stay!

We’ve stayed here before, and this place never cease to deliver all the little details from the landscaping to the fire pit to the Jacuzzi and the well manicured lawn. Even the details in the home make us all feel comfortable. It’s a great place to stay.! Thanks guys!!

Halloween Get-a-Way

Dolly Lodge is a beautiful spacious home in a great location less than 2.0 miles from downtown Highlands with a large property in a secluded neighborhood. Would definitely consider staying again for another trip to Highlands.

A Dream!

Dolly Lodge is hands down the best VRBO property we have visited. It is a haven in the woods, with beautiful details at every turn. We loved it so much that we booked our next visit before leaving! Thank you for a magical week!

Summer Escape to Dolly Lodge

This is our second year to leave the heat and humidity of the Gulf coast behind for a week long escape to Dolly Lodge. Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Phil and Holly's beautiful mountain home! We hope to return soon!

Great location close to downtown Highlands but up in the hills away from noise and crowds. Nice updates, great kitchen, secluded, well stocked and quiet. We’ll be back.

Christmas at Dolly Lodge 2024

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dolly Lodge for four nights over Christmas. A beautiful, comfortable, well-furnished home with an incredible kitchen. The fireplace was a wonderful addition for our stay. Phil was a great host and readily available to answer questions. We would love to return! Highly recommend, any time of year.

Highly Recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Dolly Lodge. Phil is an amazing host who was responsive to all inquiries. The house is exactly as advertised. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Very quiet. Beautiful property. We really enjoyed our stay. We plan to return, and highly recommend.

Awesome house

I come to Highlands every year and rent. This house was by far the best house yet. They have everything you need from a top of the line kitchen to a hot tub & fire pit area. So many areas to relax in. We will definitely be back!

Zen retreat

Beautiful property with everything you could need. Are too small dogs love the large yard and the surrounding area to walk in. We were there for two weeks and one of the weeks we had a fair amount of rain, but the house is perfectly situated to still enjoy your stay. It’s a quiet oasis surrounded by trees, which is very close to town but far enough away to relax and rejuvenate.

Beautiful Place in the Highlands, NC

The house was very comfortable, and very secluded. We really enjoyed our 2 weeks there. It was the perfect escape. Close enough to main street (6 - 7 minutes) but a world away. We caught the leaves perfectly. Created some wonderful memories that will endure.

Best Ever

Absolutely the prettiest and best stocked home I’ve rented. I wish I had the kitchen at my house. Evert thing you could want. The house was comfortably furnished, comfortable beds,great screened porch and perfect location. We all had a great time.

Great Home

We were able to find the house just as described. We were able to relax and enjoy Highland. It is very convenient. Great kitchen that was well stocked. We checked in with the owner to see if we needed to do anything special when we were leaving. A real pleasure to talk with. Great place to get away and relax. Plan to make another trip to Highland and hope to be able to stay at Dolly Lodge.

We love Dolly Lodge!!

The Dolly Lodge is better than ever. This is our 3rd 2 week summer stay. The new kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room add a lot to the house. I would recommend it to my friends. Thanks Phil for being a great host and we hope to be back in 2023.

Wonderful house!

We spent New Year's in Highlands with one other couple and our dog. The house was delightful and very convenient to downtown Highlands. It is better than the photos. We enjoyed the comfy great room for relaxing and playing games, and the fireplace was wonderful. The kitchen is new and modern. We found the bed extremely comfortable and slept late every morning! The hot tub was also a treat! We would definitely rent this house again.

Perfect home for a relaxing stay in Highlands

The nicest rental home we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful and very comfortable. We appreciated that there were three nice, large bedrooms with their own baths plus a powder room. Often there’s only one large bedroom and the other two bedrooms are small with twin beds or bunk beds. This is a home that’s great for several couples to share. And the gorgeous kitchen is fabulous and well stocked. It could be featured in a magazine. The other great benefit is that it’s on one level ( with a sunken living room). So it’s easy to access. There are multiple outdoor sitting areas to enjoy. And a beautiful screened porch. It’s only a few minutes to the Main Street of Highlands. We loved our stay!

Beautiful Property!

Our family travels to Highlands each fall and we rent homes every time we come to town. This property was certainly one of our favorites. We stayed over the week of Thanksgiving. Dolly Lodge is a large beautiful upscale mountain home that is well appointed and beautifully decorated. My family included small children and parents (6 people) that stayed comfortably as the home has 3 bedrooms (two primary rooms) and a separate room two beds) all on the main floor which was nice because most other properties are two story which makes it hard with tiny children. The dual wood burning fireplaces, cozy family room, outdoor hot tub and fire pit, and the large designer kitchen were our favorite features of this stunning home. This rental is very clean and the owner communicates promptly and the home has everything you could possibly need. The property is a very close drive to town, although it is located up a very winding road that takes a bit of driving to get up and down. We got lost a few times but quickly managed to get the hang of the drive as we made multiple trips to town each day as well as trips to Franklin, Clayton, and Dillard. We would 100% rent this property again and I highly recommend it. Thank you to the property owners for sharing this gem with us!
