Property was as pictured. Lovely wooded setting. I booked because of the wonderful screened in porch - it did not disappoint! Great porch for relaxing and listening to nature!

We enjoyed the cottage very much! Everything we needed in the kitchen was available. We enjoyed the firepit and the fireplace! The location was wonderful for the area! The only recommendation would be to replace the couch and chairs inside as they are very uncomfortable. We brought in 2 chairs from the table on the screened in porch to use during our stay so it worked out OK! Would highly recommend and we would definitely return!

Coziest porch in town...

The porch in fall is worth the stay. Comfy beds and clean, fresh decor made for a refreshing and relaxing stay.

Loved it!! The apartment is very comfortable, clean and located close to town. The fireplace and fire pit make for a relaxing evening inside and outside.

We lacked for nothing. We were very close to town and some great trails. The back porch was so nice and the inside fireplace was perfect. We would highly recommend for two people

An exceptional apartment in an exceptional location! Before our arrival, the host added an additional heater to the house because temps were going to be in the low teens. Also, the wood burning indoor fireplace was an added bonus! Loved everything about the amenities and the proximity to downtown.

Cozy private get-away

Very nice place! Close to downtown but very quiet and private, well maintained and well-furnished in every way, and check-in was easy. It's a bit cozy inside, but plenty of room for a couple, and the large screened-in porch adds a lot of room. We'd definitely stay here again!

The host was excellent at communication and very helpful. The location is very central and the space is on the smaller side but if the weather cooperates, the outside space compensates!

HIGHLANDS GET AWAY

Was very clean and warm and cozy. The house was fully stocked with all the essentials and was quite, but near town.Carole , the host could not of been nicer and helpful. Would definitely go back again.

Quiet retreat very close to town

This property was perfect for a couple's weekend getaway to Highlands. It was close and easy to get to town. The property was nicely appointed for our stay. The screened in porch was our favorite feature, which included a sitting area as well as a dining table.

Lovely, quaint cabin in the mountains. Great location! Very small, but all we needed. Carol was very accommodating even offering early checkin and checkout and supplying wood as temperatures were to be in the 20’s!

This ground-floor apartment was the perfect home base for us and our dog while we visited family in the area! The screened-in porch is the crown jewel of the property, and we spent every morning at either the outdoor sofa or dining table, enjoying the quiet and listening to the birds. In the kitchen, we found everything we needed to make our breakfast (bring your own butter), and found plenty of K cups to tide us over until we made a grocery run. Bryson’s is the closest grocery store - literally just up the road from the apartment. Be sure to check their hours of operation, as they closed at 6:30pm each day during our stay.There were guests staying in the main house, but we rarely heard anything from them. The stackable washer and dryer, as well as the iron and ironing board, were great to have on-hand.Carole was very responsive before and during our stay, and we look forward to staying at her apartment in the future.

Carole was a great host and very helpful. It was our first time to stay “outside” of downtown Highlands but it was only a mile way. The weather was just right to enjoy the new fire pit outside as well as the fireplace in the living room (with wood and fire starter ready to light!).We had every thing we needed for eating in when we weren’t enjoying all of the incredible dining options nearby. It’s a little tricky if you want to walk into town but we found 2 options:Maney Rd directly across Hwy 28 or via a short trail at the end of Williamsburg Ct. in the adjacent neighborhood.We will definitely consider Carole’s place the next time we visit Highlands!
