A Little Slice of Smokey Mtn. Heaven - with WIFI

This is a beautiful two bedroom/two bath home (sleeps 6 with sleeper sofa) near Franklin N.C. The cabin offers absolutely awesome panoramic views overlooking the Iotla Valley and the distant Blue Ridge Mountains. The cabin has a covered deck with rockers, porch swing, and ceiling fans so you can totally relax while enjoying the view.

We offer all the amenities one could want including a fully furnished kitchen, living room with fireplace, TV/VCR/DVD, satellite dish, an outdoor gas grill and ceiling fans throughout the cabin. The cabin is air conditioned through the summer months. It is close to all the activities that will make your vacation a very memorable one.

We are just ten minutes from downtown Franklin which offers many interesting shops and museums, including the Ruby City Gem Museum and the only Scottish museum in the U.S. There are many wonderful events in Franklin, including a free concert for all the family called "Pickin' on the Square" from May to October. There is a family arcade called "The Factory", the "Whistle-stop Antique Mall", and movie theaters.
The surrounding area offers many outdoor recreational opportunities including hiking in the National Forests, tubing on the Little Tennessee River, gem mining (at least five gem mines within fifteen minutes from your vacation spot.) White water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking are popular on several nearby rivers. The Nantahala River offers great fly fishing only forty minutes away.

Located near Highlands with many scenic waterfalls and Dillsboro with great shopping and train rides through the mountains on the original railroad line. The Baltimore Estate in Asheville is within easy driving distance, as is the Hurrah's Casino in Cherokee.

With easy access to our cabin, an awesome long-range view and all the amenities you are looking for - We offer the perfect getaway vacation spot at a very reasonable price.

Slice of Heaven Cabin, I see the mountain tops kissing the sky,
And I see God's creation and wonder how? and why?

The valley's glorious panoramic view unfolds below,
Partially covered in white gauzy clouds, an amazing soft tableau.

As the Bumblebees busily buzz happy and carefree.
While hummingbirds dart in and out feasting on rose red flower honey,

I listen to the sound of the rain's pitter patter and the rolling thunder that is God's symphony,
And, ponder the thought of this world in perfect harmony,

The evergreen trees swaying in the cool breeze in a gentle dance,
Everywhere is God's rays of light and the sunbeam's glance.

As the sun peeks over the mountain with golden light,
Bringing warmth and dispelling the cold air night,

"I can feel a soothing mountain misty balm,
That surrounds my spirit and soothes my soul in calm,"

The church bells chime, and their sound is so pious,
And, I sing out, Glory to God in the highest,

In this serene retreat, my worries cease,
In the mountains embrace, I find my peace,

Oh, how the world seems perfect from this height,
A slice of heaven bathed in morning light,
Here, at the cabin, my soul takes its rest,
For in this tranquil moment, I'm truly blessed.

That surrounds my spirit and soothes my soul in calm,
