"We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient. "Had a great stay here, it had everything from great food , friendly staff and a well equipped gym and pool. To top it off for us, it’s dog friendly too! All the staff were super helpful and attentive to our needs, from reception to bar and gym staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome, even the gym members. "This is by far the worst hotel I have booked in all my years of travel and is to be avoided by anyone thinking of staying. The pictures on the website are of the hotel 5+ years ago when it actually looked that way. On arrival the place looked derelict, the grounds are overgrown and scattered with rubbish. The outside walls have huge chunks of plaster missing and exposing brickwork. Immediately I contacted Expedia for a refund. They then tried calling the hotel the request it back on the photo...

"Really enjoyable experience, lovely setting and really helpful staff. The only issue was with the air conditioning not working during this heatwave. Would be good to be fixed to avoid this. Great experience however and really good facilities"

"Staff were doing their best to help. Maintenance is poor, with a wonderful collection of black mould in the en-suite. Noise from the road is almost unbearable. I made the mistake of booking 2 nights and certainly won't be going back."
