  • River Bend Lodge on the White

    Secluded 3 bedroom cabin sleeps 10 comfortably, located on the White River near Hesperia, Oceana county Mi.. Cabin is a non smoking cabin

    Totally remodeled in 2008 to create a very clean comfortable feel. Features included are inside fire place, satellite TV, and giant fire pit on the river bank. The White river provides great steelhead fishing in the spring/fall and Salmon in the fall.

    Summer time brings great tubing and kayaking for the whole family. 35 miles from Muskegon, 19 miles from Double J. The river is Shallow, rocky and swift perfect for the sportsman or the family tubing getaway.

    Open floor plan has a fully equipped kitchen with dinner service for 10. Fully furnished for relaxing times between outside activities. Lot is over 3 acres large with 1200 feet of private frontage; a foot bridge crosses a small feeder stream for easy access to the entire property.

This is our third stay and we’re hope to be back. The river setting is absolutely incredible. You can do a little float trip or just explore the river, it’s a little nature paradise.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

We just loved the outdoor relaxation along the river. Just beautiful. The cabin was cute and fit the famliy just perfectly.

Excellent stay

Wonderful cabin on the river! We had a great stay and the host and property were both excellent. We loved being right on the river and enjoyed a campfire with the sounds of the water. The cabin was comfortable and clean.

Beautiful riverfront peoperty

This place was right on the river and had everything we need. We will be back next year around the same time! Host was very nice and very quick to respond. Place was clean. River was clean and fun to float in.

Wonderful River Escape

Great location, in a peaceful setting, with river access made the stay even more enjoyable. Plenty of space for seasonally family gatherings and fully equipped for entertaining. Very responsive hosts.

Always an Amazing getaway

We love being right on the white river! The sounds of the rippling water, the floaters and kayakers streaming by, the cabin has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We've been utilizing this cabin for 13 years now! The first for our honeymoon and now for our 13th anniversary! Host is always available, check in process is easy, atmosphere is calm, relaxing and fun!!

Perfect river location

This is a diamond. Location is perfect for a fall trip. Colors were popping, close to golf and fish in the river.

Amazing place to relax and recover

The cabin was very clean and had all the comforts of home. Cell phone signal was spotty, which is perfect for a northern Michigan getaway. I came to relax and get away from the noise of the city, and this property definitely delivered. Hesperia and the White River are places of peace and healing for me. I was able to get the quiet and tranquility I needed. Rosemary was a very responsive and considerate hostess. I will definitely be returning as often as possible.

Great Place!!!

Stayed here July 2011. Great set-up. Plenty of room for our group of 9.Several seating areas right on the river,even firepit, very peaceful, Nice!! The"banjo" song playing downstream our first day, sure gave us shits&giggles! 3- season porch is great for card playing,enjoying the morning breakfast or just doing nothing.1hour trip to pine river for kayaking, great time as usual. Rented pontoon on hardy dam pond(half hour away) 22 miles of boating,3 thousand acres,mostly all forested sides, beautiful. Nice and roomy interier, clean place in paradise. Good grub at the resteurant/bar in Hesperia. And even better grub off the brick BBQ at the lodge. Rosemary was easy to deal with and I would recomend this place to all. Great value for your money and Thanks again Rosemary, for helping make a 30 year High School Reunion get-together a very enjoyable and relaxing time. Al, Lincoln Park, MI

Peaceful riverfront property

We came here as part of our annual Budz trip. We're a group of 4 guys that have been friends for 30+ years and we make it a point to all get together once a year. Anyway, this year we decided to hit Flip City, a highly renowned disc golf course. Found Gary and Rosemary's place was only 15 min away so this place was an easy choice to make home base. I loved the pictures on the listing but they really don't do justice to this beautiful property. I could sit and listen to the river forever. And we had plenty of options on where to set up our cornhole boards. Private and tranquil, this place met all our needs. Even when something wasn't perfect (the propane tank on the grill was empty), a quick message to Rosemary fixed it. Great property and great hosts. Even though I lost at disc golf and cornhole, I feel like I won finding this place for us.

Great communication And availability of property owner

There was a computer glitch when I booked this reservation with Vrbo the property owner messaged me back and confirmed she had my reservation on the date so I expected to have it she stayed in close communication with me to make sure I had the entrance code and the physical address to find the property. I’m divorced with two young adult children they each took a friend so all five of us made our way to this cozy cabin the boys had such a great time skipping rocks and waiting in the water behind the property and playing corn hole they had a fire pit we all enjoyed s’more‘s Around the fire pit and we played games around the fire pit in the evenings there was ample dining space in the sunroom in the back where we all could sit down and enjoy a meal together the boys would stay up wee hours of the morning playing cards back there We utilized the charcoal grill for a cookout that we had had. In Lake Michigan was within an hour drive and we took in several other beaches and the sand dunes on day trips from the cabin. You will have to all share one shower however we made it work we had the girls shower at night and the boys showered in the morning and it worked out right rather well I would suggest if there’s a lot of females to bring extra vanity mirrors for getting ready in case the bathrooms are occupied there is one full bath and 1/2 bath. We did have a little trouble with Internet reception on our cell data there is a Wi-Fi availability with password but we still had a little trouble with uploading a lot of photos but otherwise it was overall a wonderful place to stay and we made many great memories here I would highly recommend

We had a very nice stay. It's a great place to spend the entire time in the house playing games with the kids, enjoying the yard, fishing, and fire pit. The house is well equipped with everything you need to cook a Thanksgiving dinner.

Great for relaxing and fishing!

We came up from Louisiana to meet family in Michigan for salmon fishing. The cottage was perfect and the location on the river was ideal for fishing. We'll be back!
