This is a beautiful property and the hosts are fabulous. They let us add an extra day and check in early. We enjoyed the golf cart and the canoe. We loved seeing dolphins one night and loved using the dock for crabbing. There are so many things for guests to use.. yard games and puzzles. The hosts have left so many amazing items for guests to use. The listing should be updated to reflect a few things. no hammocks… updated info on the canoe and lift… information on trash removal from the property….and a reminder to bring lots of bug spray. I was hoping to see a beautiful sunset but we didn’t luck out….. the birds were amazing…..and the kitchen had so many items for guests to use….. The views….. so peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us…

Probably the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in, and I've been doing vacation rentals for 30 years. They have seriously thought of everything. I don't know how many times I said to myself "Wow, they have that?". The use of the golf cart, which kept my older teen boys entertained a few times, is a real plus. The home itself has clearly been redone and is modern, clean and open. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, the beds and furniture are comfortable and the place is clean. Owner was very good to deal with. The house is truly named - sooo peaceful that we hated to leave. The property is large and has several places to hang out outside, although the cement table and chairs needed to be re-leveled. The daily show from the purple martins was so very enjoyable. They had a cool ladder that folded down, which allowed us to launch our kayaks even though the water was pretty far below the brand spanking new dock. Beware - the water can get rough and we couldn't do anything the first day. But what a lovely place to just sit.

Great place to get away to relax and get away from city life. It is in a rural location so you will need to take your trash with you but the New Hope waste area is on your way out. We really got to decompress and enjoyed the house and all the activities. There are new homes being built nearby which are gorgeous to take the golf cart around and check out. If you like seclusion, fishing, and kayaking this is the place to be.

So Relaxing

My family enjoyed our stay at Peaceful on the Albemarle Sound! The home was lovely and stocked with everything we could possibly need. My family was able to easily travel to OBX for a day trip and appreciated returning back to the house for the calm and quiet of our little retreat. The week we stayed was the hottest week for the month of June so my husband didn't fish quite as much as he would've liked to, but that's NC weather for you lol but he did catch a few early in the mornings. We traveled into Hertford and enjoyed visiting local stores and restaurants. We definitely intend to return because Peaceful on the Albemarle Sound is such a lovely home surrounded by water. Thank you!

WATERFRONT OASIS

Beautiful property and home, sparkling clean and meticulously maintained. We did a lot of cooking and found everything we needed in the kitchen - utensils, cookware, condiments and seasonings! Plenty of clean towels, comfortable furniture, everything was great. Lots to do in Elizabeth City, but we Spent much of our time on the dock, catching crabs and enjoying the lovely sunsets. Host was very responsive and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Perfect stay!

I have been using Vrbo properties for about five years. This is by far been the most enjoyable stay I have ever had. The house was very clean and had everything you needed for a Perfect stay. The property was at the end of the road which provided great privacy. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Just what we were looking for!

Peaceful on the Albermarle Sound is exactly that, peaceful. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle- watching an occasional boat go by, saw a bald eagle and a family of dolphins. We enjoyed swimming, fishing and canoeing on the Sound. The house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood right on the Sound. The house had everything we needed and more, including a fully stocked kitchen, fishing poles, golf cart, life jackets and a canoe. The owners were very responsive. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Thank you for sharing your home! Wonderful home!

Peaceful is an understatement.

This was the most restful vacation ever. If you stay on the property, plan to stay ON the property. It has the most beautiful location and perfect spots for morning coffee and evening tea. It's close enough to the ocean to make that trip in an hour and a half, but we didn't feel the need to leave the property very often. We hope to book it for the same time next year.

Great Getaway!

We were in town for a family wedding and stayed a couple extra days. The house was perfect, clean, and had everything we needed and more. We had fun driving the golf cart around the neighborhood, hitting golf balls, playing corn hole and enjoying the spectacular view. Overall fantastic stay! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Peaceful stay

The view was amazing. The house was VERY well stocked and clean. The golf cart was a neat addition. Our kids enjoyed riding on it. Would have been a great spot to fish but we ran out of time. Great house for family fun. So much yard space.

This home is better than the pictures

This was such a peaceful and relaxing week for us. The house is great with everything you can think of, plus lots of indoor and outdoor games. The golf cart was so fun to take cruise around the little neighborhood. The house was clean; beds comfortable; kitchen is well stocked, and we loved the sun room. I can only say good things about this place, and it really is nicer than the pictures. Also great sunset views.
