"Had a very pleasant stay, staff very friendly and accommodating. A great traditional pub serving some great local beers. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were served promptly after ordering. Room was nice, clean and had everything you might need. Breakfast was substantial and very nice. Off road parking at the rear. Overall a great value stop, I'd definitely recommend"

Location-wise it is well situated for access to the surrounding towns, particularly Hereford, though one should note that it sits right on the main road and this does lead to quite some road noise until late at night and from early in the morning. "Lovely, well equipped property in beautiful, peaceful location, but only short drive to pubs for good food and nearby Monmouth - lovely town with great selection of supermarkets and individual shops and eateries. Beware the 2 speed bumps on your final approach to the property. Would definitely stay here again. "
