You can't buy good customer service, and that is exactly what existed here. They were responsive, attentive, and quick to resolve things that needed attention. Appreciate them and definitely use them!

Acceptable

Place was acceptable and similar to what was listed. Driveway is not uncommon in the area but is a wild ride the first few times up. The house was updated but musty smelling in the basement/ lower level. The air conditioning was great in small rooms but not adequate for the larger rooms. Communication via text was never replied to other than stock information versus an actual person responding to my texts. Weird drain smells in the kitchen when using the washer downstairs! Overall it was decent but be aware of the additional costs that each property adds as this one adds a lot!

Clean and Responsive

The property as a whole was very clean and prepared appropriatelt for oir arrival. There was a minor issue with one of the bathroom's drains but that was corrected very quickly (and since there are two bathrooms there was no inconveniences at all). Highly recommend!!

An OK Getaway 3.5 Stars

We liked the place overall. However, it was difficult for getting from our parking spot to the cabin. Very difficult if you have bad knees. Also there basically was very few channels on the TV. Unless there was some hidden secret on how to get the TV to actually work.

Adorable mountain escape

An absolutely adorable little mountain escape. Very clean. Perfect views for lazy mornings with a cup of coffee. The drive is a bit intimidating but the calm cozy feel is absolutely worth it. Nobody wanted to leave.

Great time!

We visited during a rainy weekend and it was exactly what our family needed to escape for a few days. The cabin was big enough for us and in a great location. Good food options, short drive to anything you'd need but far enough out to really get away. Great stay and would come here again!

Great Place with a Beautiful View

This place is beautiful, on a hill above a river, and the bed and cooking equipment is nice. One thing to note is that the driveway is very steep, so your car may have a tough time turning onto it.

Mountain getaway -very secluded.

We loved this place. However, don't depend on your phone for directions to get there or for check-in procedures. PRINT EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU GO LOL. There is no cell service starting about 20miles prior to getting there. But the views are stunning, the place is comfortable, and clean. We would definitely go again.

Beautiful cozy cabin close to chimney Rock

Pros: We very much enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was well equipped for a rainy weekend. We did a fair amount of cooking. The porch has a lovely view of of some rocky cliffs. The interior is well decorated and has a cozy feel. The vibe is excellent for a mountain getaway, and the price is great! We would stay here again! Cons: The satellite internet barely works most of the time but our phones did end up working fairly well. I think the satellite dish needs to be replaced or repositioned. The main bed needs some maintenance (but rickety) and isn’t super comfortable. As mentioned the kitchen has most everything you’d need except a cutting board!

Weekend getaway

My wife and I had a fantastic time, everything was perfect and the location was perfect! . If you’re thinking of making a reservation definitely check out Point Lookout Vineyards, a quick drive and the view is magnificent!

Beautiful views

We enjoyed the view from the porches. The house was perfect for our family of 4. All appliances worked well and we had no issues during our stay. The parking situation was tight, we have a truck and the house next door was occupied leaving our spot right at the edge of a steep drop. We enjoyed being so close to the Village and Park for Chimney Rock. We left measuring spoons/cups and a collander which were missing and we needed them for cooking meals. Would stay here again in the future.

Bat Cave

The cottage was very nice, with all of the amenities. There were two great decks for relaxing after a long day of site seeing. We were not prepared for the terrain of Bat Cave Rd, but it added a bit of adventure each time we arrived or departed the cottage. It was a great experience.

Great location for exploring the area

This cosy little cabin was perfect for myself and my friend, it was clean and tidy and had pretty much everything we needed. There was no power to the oven, only the stovetop when we were there but everything else worked. There is a steep single lane track up to the cabin which was a little scary at nighttime. It was within easy driving distance of everything we wanted to visit and chimney rock can be seen from the upper deck.
