Peace in the Woods - It’s All in the Cabin Name!

  • Welcome to Peace in the Woods, where your only neighbors are the towering trees of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. Situated at the very end of a quiet mountain road, this tastefully appointed cabin is a haven of privacy and relaxation.

    Inside, a thoughtful split-floor plan places a luxurious King suite with a private bath on either side of the main living area—ensuring complete peace for every guest. Each bedroom has its own television, too.

    Spend your evenings curled up by the roaring wood-burning stone fireplace, or prepare a gourmet meal in the heart of the cabin. The kitchen features full-size appliances and cupboards stocked with everything you need. From dinnerware and glassware to cookware and utensils, you can easily whip up and serve delicious family meals right at home.

    The magic truly happens outdoors. Sip your morning coffee on the expansive, partially covered decks, grill dinner under the stars, or soak in the bubbling hot tub. Best of all, the fenced area off the screened porch ensures your doggies can safely enjoy the mountain air right alongside you.

    This is a pet-friendly cabin and a one-time per-pet fee will be added if you bring your dog(s). The pet fees that will be added to your reservation are $100 + tax for the first and $50 + tax for each additional.

    • Minimum Age Requirement: Peace in the Woods is available to families or to guests 21 years or older.
    • Parking: Space is available for 3 vehicles.
    • Access: The road and driveway are dirt and gravel. Road not suitable for low profile vehicles
    • Pets: Pets are allowed at Peace in the Woods.
    • Television Service: This cabin has a YouTube TV account for local channels, live sports, and more.
    • Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

Nice cabin for relaxing at the end of the road for privacy! Fenced in area was great for our dog and grandson to play fetch! Hot tub was a great feature with grill on porch and even saw bear checking to see if there was any leftovers on the grill. Memories made and highly recommend!! Does need an outdoor bear proof garbage can instead of leaving trash inside for cleaning service! Tks again!!

This is the second time staying with Georgia mountain rentals. Peace in the Woods was a great fit for us this time. It was a little slice of heaven. We completely enjoyed it. The bedrooms the way they were set up were perfect. The jacuzzi is always a plus. It was absolutely a fantastic time. Found everything to be clean and well stocked. My only suggestion would be the two beds in this cottage really need to be replaced. They were not very comfortable at all and after a long day walking around town and antiquing and doing some hiking, a comfortable bed is a plus....But other than that it was a good stay.

Peace in the Woods as promised

We were there Friday until Sunday and it was great. Close to Helen and very secluded and quiet. Property was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

Nice quiet stay, clean and cozy. Only minor complaint is the smell, a bit musty, needs a good airing out or dehumidifier. Overall great place.

Perfect cabin in perfect location

Peace in the Woods is in a great location very near to Helen & Unicoi Stae Park. The cabin was very comfortable and provided everything one might want or need.

Came in for Thanksgiving & Christmas lights

The cabin was perfect and wish we could have stayed longer. Saw a few deer and raccoons and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Definitely would recommend this little gem.
