My group had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. Our host was very responsive before and during our visit, always cheerful and quick to answer any questions. The house was super comfortable, sunny, clean, well-equipped kitchen, quiet. The road up to the house from Fitch Mountain was a little intimidating at first but we got the hang of it. We had a few friends and family come and go, never more than three people at the house at the same time, and everyone loved being there. Most of us were orginally from Healdsburg so it was great to be back. We had perfect fall weather, which was such a bonus. Our little town has changed so much, but was fun to explore, try out new restaurants, visit old haunts, drive over to the coast. I hightly recommend this VRBO and would definately stay here again.

This house is fabulous! Newly renovated, large kitchen, living space, two bathrooms and bedrooms. Lots of amenities, kitchen tools, towels and more.Host, Cynthia, was helpful, informative and welcoming. Beautiful view of valley from the living space and deck. Close to Healdsburg downtown and local wineries within 15-30 minutes max. We loved our stay and would definitely come back to this space.

Excellent home in a spectacular location. Cynthia is a knowledgable, friendly and very helpful host. The home worked really well for my husband and I, our son and his partner. Very well provisioned, really comfortable beds, great bathrooms and plenty of space. Great security too. And what a deck! Great for a quiet cuppa in the tranquility of the bush. Even had a family of deer living nearby. Easy walk to town enjoying the bush scenery. Very friendly neighbors. Could t have wanted anything more. We particularly acknowledge the eco friendly approach to the design, functioning and provisioning of this home. Our thanks to all for a really enjoyable stay. We had four nights and wish we had longer.

Cynthia‘s home was just like the pictures! So well maintained and such a beautiful serene location. It was the perfect place for my family and I to stay while we were in town for a friend‘s wedding. Just a quick walk down the hill to the Russian River. Cynthia was a great host! She left us a welcome bottle of wine and was a great communicator. I will stay here next time I am in the area.

Wow. Impressive, modern, well stocked kitchen, terrific view across the valley to next range. Deer and fawn walked around all three days. Terrific host. Sleeps four. Narrow shared driveway up the hill to the house.

Wonderful, well decorated and equipped home 5 minute drive to Healdsburg plaza. Very peaceful and quiet with cool breezes in the evening. Exquisite view of fitch mountain. Ideal for two couples with separate bathrooms for each bddroom. Look forward to coming back

Best of Healdsburg and Russian River

Everything about this host and property spells ease. The home was spotless, beautifully appointed, well provisioned including wonderful coffee and a gorgeous bottle of wine, flowers and a welcome note. The home is just 7 minutes from downtown, but on a ridge overlooking the river. A doe and two fawns made daily appearances, quiet, beautiful wonderful. Great tv and WiFi. Nothing not to love. Thank you Cynthia, for making us feel so welcome, and for your great tips throughout the stay!

Absolutely delightful!

The Wooded Retreat far exceeded our hopes and expectations. It is a beautiful private home that has been completely updated and has every amenity for a restful and relaxing stay. Clean, clean, clean! It is located in a rustic neighborhood on the south side of Fitch Mountain with lovely views of the hills across the Russian River. We loved sitting on the comfortable deck watching the hawks circling right in front of us. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable with luxury linens. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight with everything you could need. Full laundry, and baths are spacious and beautifully designed. Did I mention private? Very quiet neighborhood, and access via the narrow winding road may seem daunting at first, but is really not a problem at all. (You need a car - not walkable to town.) We have been coming to Healdsburg for many years, and the previous home we stayed in is no longer available. We were hoping this option would be a good replacement, and it did not disappoint! In fact, we like the home even better (and the previous one was a tough act to follow). Needless to say, we will be coming back every year.

Wonderful Home, Great Experience

This was the third time we stayed at this property because, other than the drive to the property on a one lane road, it was awesome! Step free property; brought my 93 year old aunt the first two times. She WAS coming this time but got seriously ill right before our stay and was institutionalized. The house has two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a laundry room and fully stocked, equipment wise, kitchen. The provide free coffee and filters. Generous and kind management was very helpful. Management wrote an all information inclusive book. If you are going, you will find this a wonderful property.

Great Location for the Dry Creek Valley Passport Event!

The was the perfect location and a beautiful, well kept home for us to stay in while we participated in the Dry Creek Valley Passport event. The views were incredible, the deer visited every morning, and house is modern and very well kept. Being up the mountain a bit, it is an exciting (5 minutes) drive up and down the mountain roads. Cynthia was a great host with detailed and timely communication. Thank you for let us stay in your home.

Quiet, Relaxing Home

We had a wonderful time introducing our neighbors to the area and this home was perfect! We relocated to Arizona 5 years ago and miss wine country so it was a perfect location to do some wine tasting in Alexander Valley, Napa, and Russian River areas. The home was very comfortable and quiet. Beds were comfy, kitchen was fully equipped, tv's in the bedrooms were a plus, and the main tv was easy to navigate. Highly recommend staying here!!

Spectacular View!

My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights. It’s very private, yet convenient to downtown Healdsburg. We spent our afternoons on the lovely deck with some wine and snacks, watching the birds and enjoying the beautiful view. Cynthia was a wonderful host, leaving many ideas for restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We can’t wait to come back!

A perfect getaway

The house is lovely, very comfortable and quiet. The view is terrific and adds to the cozy ambiance. The kitchen is very well outfitted, which was great because we cooked. Cynthia is extremely responsive and even came by with an item that we'd forgotten. Highly recommended.
