Winterfest Weekend

Three couples stayed at the house for a weekend getaway. It was very clean, and all basic essentials were provided. The house was very spacious and close to Jim Thorpe as well as restaurants and bars. The beds were very comfortable. We were very pleased and would definitely stay again!

Lehighton Gem Tailored for Families

We were so impressed with this property. Some of the pictures could be updated, because they don't capture how cozy and inviting this place is for Families. There are multiple areas to just sit and talk, play games, read a book, watch sports, enjoy the weather, reconnect, have a meal. Already looking forward to a return trip.

Duckers Bike Trip - 2024

Second year in a row at this property. Fits 8 adults easily with room to spare. Lots of things to do at the house and close proximity to downtown Jim Thorpe. Plenty of parking for 4 vehicles with utility trailers and 4 motorcycles. VRBO hosts are nice and accommodating. We will return again in the future. Thank you Debbie and Robin!

Nice house

We stayed at Hinkle House for a long weekend with family ranging from age 9 to 81. The property was clean and well organized. We really enjoyed the porch and the game room and the kitchen was well stocked and equipped. We were disappointed that there was no pool. The VRBO listing states pool as an amenity. There is a community pool close-by but only residents are allowed. Access to a pool was one of the reasons we chose this house. We had 8 people and this house comfortably sleeps 8. The listing states it sleeps 11. As it contains 3 double beds, 2 twins, 1 air mattress and 1 cot, stating it sleeps 11 is inaccurate. We would have given 5 stars if the listing was accurate.

Exceptional spacious property

We visited to celebrate a 30th birthday. All the rooms are well furnished, plenty of room for socializing, with comfortable seating on both levels. The porch and deck are also well furnished, but the cold weather kept us indoors. We went to Jim Thorpe, just down the road, and welcomed the respite from the crowds afforded by this location. Anyone planning to use Uber should note getting a ride back was impossible. Fortunately, we had a car parked in Jim Thorpe. Easy to shuttle folks back and forth, needing to park 1 car in Jim Thorpe instead of finding multiple elusive parking spots there. Hosts are terrific about communicating, too. Just about the best rental I've ever had from VRBO and other rental sites.

Perfect Winter Getaway

Location was close to Jim Thorpe for a train ride and Blue Mountain for snow tubing. House was perfect size for our family especially the basement for the teenagers.

Good for two families.

We were very pleased with the accommodations. The downstairs provided the perfect place for the family who had a newborn baby--they could decamp so the baby didn't bother anyone. The mattresses are overly firm, one might say hard; they would benefit from some foam toppers or something to improve the comfort. House was very clean. Location is central to everything in Lehighton which is great, as it's not a large town and it can be difficult to find satisfactory accommodations in town.

A great home and location

What a lovely home, with a great, convenient location to various attractions, and shops to grab essentials. We loved how every room has a theme, and how the house has so many gathering spaces for hanging out, taking and playing games. We had a wonderful stay, and the homeowners were very responsive, and a pleasure to deal with at every stage. We would absolutely stay there again.

I would definitely stay here again. My family loved it. It was clean and organized. Plenty of spaces to gather in. There was only a one thing missing, a mop but I bought one and left it behind for next visitor. Loved this place and all of the space it offers.

Nice place, uncomfortable beds

It's a really nice place. Clean, well kept, the AC was fine. The property is well maintained and in good repair. But the beds... Like concrete on stilts. Had to go buy mattress toppers. That's literally the only bad part, unfortunately poor sleep really made the trip rough. Might be ok for people who like sleeping on very firm mattresses but I don't think these beds would work for most people.

Family time

Rented this due to close to my son wedding. Great location. No poker table like picture shows. Owner very responsive to questions. Air was out part of the time (no fault of owner) but owner was quick to resolve issue.
