We were overcharged for our stay despite giving 3+ weeks notice (when 2 is required) to change our reservation and having the host agree to the change. Minimal communication in reply to my repeated messages. I would not trust booking a stay from Neil (his wife was lovely, however). He got a bit aggressive towards my refund request in the messages so I will leave it at that and finish with my review.
In regard to the guesthouse, is it nice and clean and the wood fire is amazing. It is right next to the main residence so you don't get a lot of privacy. The hosts are always around outside by the entrance to the accomodation but not very welcome to young kids. Interaction with the animals was minimal, not a true farm stay. Daughter felt too nervous to ask to feed chickens after a stern "no" that was then taken back. The photographed fire pit and silo bar are open for use with prior permission from host, they are not part of the guesthouse area.
Oberon is actually quite nice and the Farmer's Market in Tarana was very cool (once a month). I'd say if you are going to be out all the time and don't need any booking adjustments- this is your place!
