Escape to the serene beauty of Hilltop Hideaway, a waterfront cabin nestled on the tranquil shores of Placid Lake in the picturesque Tiger Cat Chain of Lakes in Hayward WI.

Fully renovated cozy lakefront cabin with all the amenities and huge detached rec room, sleeps 8 and all sitting on ~2 wooded acres to spread out.

This cabin is located on Placid Lake which is a fully recreational 162 acre lake located in Sawyer County.
Placid Lake is a clean, clear, and quiet lake perfect for a pontoon, fishing boat, ski boat, canoe or kayak. Placid lake is also part of the 819 acre Tiger Cat Chain of 6 lakes which has boat access throughout to Burns, Tiger Cat, McClaine, Upper and Lower Twin Lakes.
Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern and Walleye. Experienced fishing guides can be recommended. Bird-watching is plentiful on the Tiger Cat and can often be combined with a leisurely paddle on the lake.

The cabin comes stocked with 2 canoes and 4 kayaks for use and there is a beautiful sandbar just around the bay with easy kayak access from the private dock for swimming or just hanging out for the afternoon. Adult and child sized lifejackets provided for safety. Bring your own motored boat or pontoon or rent one right on the lake and avoid trailering and loading/unloading. The cabin:
This cozy lake cabin has knotty pine walls and ceilings throughout the interior to create a wonderful northwoods experience.
The fully remodeled kitchen is filled with all new cooking utensils, updated appliances and also includes a convenient microwave and toaster oven for those quick snacks,
Newly remodeled bathroom complete with stackable washer dryer for your convenience.
Ample sleeping for 8- Master bedroom has a queen bed and second bedroom has a full bed and a twin over full bunk. Livingroom has a twin over twin trundle. Detached rec room has a 4 bunk system perfect for the kids and teens! All beds have brand new mattresses and linens in 2023.
A large deck off the cabin is complete with table, seating for 6, umbrella, and a Blackstone flat top gas grill always stocked with propane.
Fully finished bright and airy detached rec room with huge table for your whole family, and cozy loveseat /couch area, 4 bunk system for sleeping our lounging, and 2 TVs. Game room is stocked with games and is perfect for large groups to enjoy board games, cards, dice shaking, foosball, conversation or a meal and is heated for year round use.
Large fire pit with ample seating and generously stocked with firewood is the perfect place to take in the breathtaking sunsets over the lake.
All 3 TVs have Roku systems for easy guest login to securely connect all of your favorite apps, Starlink satellite internet, and Ring security system will have you feeing all the comforts and security of home.

The great outdoors:
World famous Birkie trail is just minutes from the cabin. Mountain Bike/Fat bike, Nordic Ski, walk, run, and snowshoe, attend all the events at the world famous Birkie trails. http://Birkie.com
Catch Snowmobile trail 18 directly from the property and run up the full Tiger Cat chain to 77 where the trail connects with 5 others to span all of Sawyer county.
ATV trails follow the same mapping across Sawyer county as snowmobile trails, ATV access just minutes away.

Things to do in the area: If the lake isn't enough!!
This cabin is conveniently located nine miles from downtown Hayward for an afternoon spent exploring Wilderness Walk Zoo, Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, many unique Gift Stores, Candy Stores, a Bakery, Craft Shops, Wineries, Bars and Restaurants, area events, and festivals year round. - and that's just in Hayward.
You will be conveniently located just minutes from several golf courses and casinos.
If you feel like going out but avoiding the crowds of downtown, it is less than a 5 min drive from the cabin to the Tavern at White Stag Farm, which is a delicious upscale supper club, Twin Lakes Tap, and Powells on Round Lake.
Hayward makes a great base camp for bikers looking to take advantage of the breathtaking views of the Northwoods.

The cabin is located 3 hours by car from Minneapolis/St.Paul and 7 hours from Chicago or 1.5hrs from Duluth International Airport.
