I agree! The breakfast is great to just "grab and go". And the beds ARE awesome! Thanks for staying at the avid Hotel of Hays.

This place was great!! Check-in was smooth and the manager was super friendly. One light bulb was blinking in our room and she immediately gave us another room with an “I’m sorry”!! The room was clean, big TV, nice warm shower and fluffy white towels. Beds were very comfortable. Victor took care is is at breakfast and he was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, meat eating, non-dairy or need gluten free - you can have a filling breakfast. No coffee on the room, but nice hot coffee in the breakfast area. We would stop here again.

Front desk was rude, told me to change my payment method through the app, I couldn’t, told me I could pay at the desk./ so that’s what I expected

We got in really late and the guy had our paperwork out and all ready for us. It was so nice when we were tired. We had to leave early and the coffe and breakfast was perfect.

It was pretty basic, not very clean, and the system was down when we arrived so it was very disorganized. The front desk person was having a really hard time, but to be fair, was trying to keep his cool. The coffee was good, but there wasn’t much of a choice for breakfast. The bed was OK. But for the price point, I don’t think I’ll be staying here again. Because it’s so simple and basic the cost should be a lot less than it is.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that the system was down when you were here. It is very frustrating for us as well. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with breakfast. Unfortunately, our breakfast is regulated by IHG and we were what we are allowed to. I do hope that you will give us another chance.

Overall it was a nice place to be. I didn’t hear the highway, but the others in my room could. The air conditioning was a little loud, but it was something we got used to. The room was clean and staff seemed nice. Breakfast was a premade egg white and veggie omelette or a chicken and biscuit sandwich. Coffee available. Hays has some good places to stop at for food- Breathe for coffee and Gella’s for lunch/dinner.

Great place to stay
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here diving from Kansas to Colorado and we will stay again. Avid is wonderful for the price. The rooms are clean I love that there is no carpet so you know the floors are clean. The breakfast is good and the staff is so friendly.

Excessively Noisy
It was so loud in this facility. All night and into the next day through checkout, it sounded as if there was construction work going on. No idea what it was but if you’re looking for a good nights rest, this place won’t provide that.

Nice place to stay.
The hotel was nice and quiet. The room was small and was fine for an overnight stay but it wasn’t big enough if you wanted to stay several days.

First time at an Avid Hotel. Very impressed. Clean, comfy room. Big screen TV. No microwave or coffee in room but available in the lounge. Coffee available all day, Brewed fresh from coffee beans. Nice breakfast setup. Almond milk, oat milk & whole milk available. Our shampoo & body soap dispensers were empty but easily remedied by a trip to the desk. I would stay here again.

I went to check in at 11:00 at night, i was the only person there and the guy behind the desk was terrible. He got me half way started on filling out the paperwork when he stop in the middle of everything to text someone back on his phone and about 2 long awkward minutes later he finally got back to me. Then when i got to the room i found a needle in the room. Like a straight up drug needle under the bed

I am so sorry that your experience was not a pleasant one. I have talked to the desk clerk regarding phone use and the proper way to conduct themselves. I have also visited with housekeeping regarding the rooms. I wish that we could have visited when you checked out Sunday morning. I was at the hotel.

Good location, pet friendly, indoor pool, free breakfast. Pet owners need to pick up poop. The hotel offers poop bags and a place to dispose. Steps between floors needed to be vaccuumed and the pool area needs ventilation. It was extremely humid and all of the furniture was wet
