"Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay."

"The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. "It has only been 2 months since my last stay here and it was as good as ever. Staff as always were really friendly and make you feel at home. "We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....
