Relaxing weekend
We loved this cabin on the lake! Very clean, well stocked, very relaxing. The sunsets over the lake were beautiful. The owners, James and Misty, were very friendly and extremely quick to respond to a minor problem we had the first night. Definitely recommend this place!

Memorial Day
Even though we had some rain, we had a nice relaxing mini vacay. Property was very clean. Could use some upgrades on dock to tie up boats and jet skis. Toe clips needed. Property managers were very nice and accomdating and quick to respond. We will definitely come back!

Great place to stay with our mom
Visiting from Arkansas to spend time with my elderly mom. Perfect space for her, safe and comfortable. Loved all the amenities. Local family was able to stop by and we enjoyed our visit.

What a gem!!
What a gem of a place! My family really enjoyed our stay for the solar eclipse. The beds were very comfortable! The shower/tub combo in the master bath was awesome. We had plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 kiddos. It was really cool to watch the eclipse from the dock on the lake, and then sit on the huge deck at the house to reflect on a fantastic experience. James and Misty were amazing hosts! We had such a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back. Thanks, y'all, for letting us make lifelong memories at a beautiful house!!

We have used this house many times
This year there were some very nice upgrades. The owners are fantastic in their responses to us. Everything is always clean and ready. The space easily houses parents, 4 adult "children" and one teen. There are many joyful memories for our family created here. We would highly recommend this to you. It is on Lake Hawkins with a breath taking view, plus its own boat dock.

Nice Sunset n Beautiful Water
This is a nice propeety with beautiful sunset and by the water. Everythibg you need is there Except rhis last stay there was No internet and No dishwasher. Both were big cauae no TMobile network could not use apps. However, host was very responsive and all good late check out. My second time staying and I will stay again. Hopefully at least turn internet back on.

Ceiling was very dirty from cobwebs/dust, shelves in master bathroom were dusty. We had to dust them off prior to putting any clothing on them. When trying to open blinds in the kitchen there were dead bugs stuck to the window and hanging from a spider web, it's apparent the windows don't get cleaned inside or out. Not many amenities to speak of. Dishwasher broken, grill was full of water so it wouldn't work. No where to sit on fishing deck without carrying chairs down from the house deck. Majority of the food was expired....some even from 2017!!! Just no warm and fuzzy feeling at all staying here. Needs alot of updates! We spoke to a neighbor (Connie) and she allowed us to use her grill and her fishing pier. We will definitely stay at her place next time. Not sure how this place gets such great reviews honestly.

Front Porch and Fishing
These are the two big wins for this great stay. House is good, kitchen works (minus broken dishwasher) but the front porch and the fishing was most enjoyable. Front porch is big, has a charcoal grill with a few logs of wood given as fuel but awesome for hanging out as a well lit outdoor living room (just bring bug spray). Fishing deck works well for 3-4 guys at a time but fishing was tricky. The small perch and the turtles are active so bait is stolen before any big bass can get it. Minnows worked well tho. I highly recommend this stay, especially for a men's retreat weekend.

Excellent Stay
The property was perfect for my family. Everything was as described by the property description. I have no complaints with the property. I am not wild about the VRBO APP, it did not appear to allow me to message the owners, but that has nothing to do with the property itself, but lack of sophistication of the VRBO app.

Working holiday
We love this location - it's quiet and the view out the front is so relaxing, looking at the lake through the trees. This was our 3rd or 4th visit and the owners continue to improve on the property, making it more of an oasis each time. The teenagers were very grateful for the wifi while the rest of us really enjoyed the outdoors.

Great place for all occasions!
James and Misty have done a wonderful job making this house a great place to stay for a couple, family or a group of friends. It is spacious, clean, and has all the little small touches that make it comfortable on the side of luxurious. Take in the sunset from the front porch and catch bass off the dock! This side of the lake is quiet and has less traffic. You can’t help but relax and enjoy it all!
