Loved this property from beginning to end. So clean and spacious. Personnel was super friendly and helpful. We had one issue with a drain and it was fixed w/in the hour. You are near everything...beach, restaurants and Whalers shopping center. Loved the pool area as well. Lots of chairs and lots of tables if you want to eat near the pool while looking over at the ocean. I have stayed 6x at different resorts on Kaanapali and this is in my top 2. We were sad to leave, great experience.

The beach in front of the complex is beautiful. I would be cautious of expectations when it comes to the rooms. We were originally placed in a unit that hadn’t been updated in a long time. It looked nothing like the photos. A lot of carpet and heavy curtains (think 80’s). It is not great for someone that has allergies. We called to ask if we could be moved and they did accommodate us. The second unit was much better. The tennis courts were fun but very hot.

I love that the property is right along the beach and is easy to get to. We could easily walk along the beach to get the Whaler Village shopping center, which was very convenient. The pool was decently sized and we really enjoyed that the area felt more quiet and relaxed compared to the hotels next door. The size of our room was great but a little outdated. Not a big issue for us, however.

Our family had the best vacation at Kaanapali Alii. The accommodations were clean and very nice. The pool and beach were fantastic, and the location was convenient with lots of dining and shopping a short walk away.

The condo we stayed in was amazing. They had everything we needed. The bed was a comfortable Tempur-pedic that adjusted. We had breakfast every morning on the lanai. There was even beach chairs that we used to eatch the whales.

Great place to stay. The units are large - a "one bedroom" has two full bathrooms, and what most would consider a second bedroom. The pool and BBQ area were always clean. Fresh herbs by the BBQ to pick and add flavor to whatever you're grilling. We had friend staying nearby. They were jealous.

We were victims of explicit racism at this place. Here is what happened. We stayed at the property for a whole week and spent a lot of time every single day at the pool with our 2 young young (aged 6 and 2). On the 2nd last evening (Nov 23) of our stay, my wife was looking for the restroom by the pool, and an employee came and helped her. The next evening (Nov 24), the same employee came to my wife and abruptly asked her "Were you the same person who asked me where the restroom was yesterday? What is your room number?" My wife told him our room number but felt very uncomfortable. We spoke to the front desk and were told that the employee did so because "some local people have been sneaking and you look like local people". Okay we are Asians. And one of the few non-white families there. But was it the right thing to do? Targeting a family who had been going to the pool every day for a week just because they were Asians? This incident pretty much ruined our whole trip.

Kaanapali Ali’i’s staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room I stayed in was very spacious, clean and fully furnished. Quick beach access. 5 minute walk to whalers village. Grocery stores nearby. Ample of parking. Definitely will stay here again.

Overall the condo was very nice but there were a couple of small issues: 1) The kitchen microwave didn't work, but Stacey got me a substitute microwave. 2) The GFCI in the master bathroom stopped working the day before I left. Tried to reset but couldn't. The GFCI in the guest bath did work. 3) One light bulb over the dining room table was out. (No big deal.) 4) When you tried to fill the kitchen sink to wash dishes, there was a significantly reduce outflow of hot water. 5) The rubber seal on the sink stopper was badly worn.

We stayed here for 6 nights and had an amazing time. The location is great - right in front of the beach and a short walk to the Whaler’s Village. We booked a 1 bedroom ocean view but it was really a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom condo since the den was converted into a room with a pocket door. It was so spacious and clean and we had a lot of space for our family of 4. My husband really loved the gym and said it was really well equipped. The pool was on the smaller side but wasn’t too crowded. There’s also a quiet pool right next to the main pool but my kids didn’t want to feel pressured to be quiet. The towel service is available 8 am to 6 pm and there’s so restaurant so this isn’t a full service resort but for the kitchen and laundry, it was a really wonderful and comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again.
