Your comments are of great concern and was shared with the management team who also provided comments.Special requests are noted on a reservation at the time of booking and shared with the resort. This gives the staff an opportunity to provide guest(s) with a special amenity in celebration for the occasion, prior to arrival. Although check-in time begins at 4 p.m., if rooms are available beforehand, guests will be allowed to check-in earlier.As you noted, the BBQ gas grills are located directly in front of the resort adjacent to the tennis & shuffleboard courts. Regarding the covered parking garage, guests, owners and associates are able to park their trucks and SUVs with no issue.I hope this information will help you when booking in the future.

We are so sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay at the property. I reached out to the property management team and they advised you were not happy with your ocean view and offered to move you to another unit which was declined and they further offered a dining credit which you asked be applied to your incidental charges which was done. Then a water leak was reported in the unit below yours and the urgency of that condition required staff to investigate which required entry into your condo in your absence which was not optimal but necessary. Their apologies included removal of the resort amenity fee from your folio. I would note that some visitors are not aware that ocean views come in three degrees of view. Partial Ocean, Ocean View and Ocean Front. The Ocean Views at this property are on the more generous than many but they are not fully Ocean Fronts. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations at the property but hope you enjoyed the balance of your time on Maui. Mahalo and safe travels.

Aloha Monika, Really sorry to hear of your disappointing stay at Kaanapali Shores. The on-site team has always proven to be outstanding at addressing any guest concerns so we reached out to them to see what may have happened as there were no specifics mentioned in your review. Their records show that they provided an early check in….and extended a late checkout both of which I let them know was greatly appreciated. They also noted a call related to the A/C which their records show was addressed by the on-site maintenance team. Beyond those issues and events, they could not advise of any other factors. We truly appreciate your comments as we are always looking to improve our facilities and our services. Mahalo for your review and comments. Sorry to hear about your disappointment with your assigned room, but glad the staff was able to accommodate you in another unit. The first unit assigned to you is new to the rental program and has not been updated to the uniform furnishing package as yet. The package design is based on a more traditional Hawaiian style vs a modernist look. That said, there is no excuse for the room to have damaged elements. This has been brought to the property manager’s attention. Like other retail stores on site, the gym is managed by an outside vendor who sets the rate and hours of operation as they rent the space from the Homeowners Association.
