  • The Gem Theatre (previously known as Kinema Theatre, Hub Theatre) was built in 1909. In 1924, one of the reels of film got stuck in the projector and caught fire, igniting a full reel in the lower magazine. Only the outer shell of the theater survived the fire. The Kinema was rebuilt "as near fireproof as possible" and reopened in 1924. The Kinema Theatre was renamed the Hub Theatre in 1928. In 1933, the theatre was renovated and renamed it the Gem Theatre. After the advent of television, the theater could not attract large enough crowds to pay film rental fees. The Gem Theatre closed about 1986. The title of the last movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, remained on the marquee for ten years as the theater sat idle. Sometime after this the theater was again damaged by fire. Mark Childs, owner of Childs Construction, and his wife Heather, a retired dancer, purchased the Gem Theatre in April 2010, after moving to Panguitch from Henderson, Nevada.  After replacing the building's fire-damaged roof, the Childs rebuilt the Gem Theatre's interior and reopened it on 28 May 2011. #OnTheRoad

The cabin was very cozy. The view was beautiful. The host was gracious, and went above and beyond to help us change our reservations. We were especially pleased with how soft the bed and bedding were. The snow falling was a nice final touch.

A very peaceful cabin with everything you need and nothing you don't. Really clean and plush. A great sitting porch for morning coffee and just watch the horses,cow's and deer roam. And you'll find Prarie dog's in the field if you care to walk around and places to sit scattered all around. I will be back to stay longer. The town has meager services so go prepared. Its an easy drive to Bryce canyon and other assorted venues from Hatch, you'll miss nothing.

Perfect little cabin getaway

This cabin was just perfect for a quiet getaway. The ranch views are beautiful and the property is kept very nice. The property owner is very gracious and prompt in giving check in information and other needed details. We highly recommend staying at the Sevier Ranch.

Good location close to Bryce Canyon. The bed was extremely comfortable. The little coffee shop had great bagels and lattes. There is a little bunny that lives right beside the cabin and saw a large hare running in the field. The cows were sometimes chatty, which was fun to sit on the porch and watch.

Beautiful and quiet!

Loved going back to a quiet place after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. We seen deer the first night in and heard the coyotes! We liked taking a walk down the long drive. It’s set up really nice.

Cozy cabin on a hill

Wonderful little cabin overlooking the Sevier river. Very peaceful and well thoughtout placement of the few cabins on the site. Super cosy and warm during a small snowstorm we had while staying there.

More than expected

The Ranch Hands Bunk House was a perfect place to stay for a couple of days. It had everything we needed and was so comfortable. We wished we could’ve stayed longer. The night sky looking at stars, the cows mooing in the distance made such a great experience

Stayed at the Ranch Hands Bunkhouse. The reviews were/are on-point. The view from the front porch was spectacular! All l could think of was zen-like calm, people! Like a blanket thrown over the rest of the world, leaving nothing but you, your partner & a humble appreciation of God's glory. The cabin was awfully cozy & clean. The amenities were satisfactory.
