Very Large, Air-Conditioned Cape Cod Beach home

Beautiful beach home with a two-minute walk to the beach. 6 large bedrooms, 4 baths and well equipped. We had a great time and enjoyed the large private yard. VRBO listing information was not very accurate, but we attribute that to it being outdated. When we inquired, they told us it didn't have a grill, beach towels, beach chairs or porch furniture, but it had all of these. Ad said it had an outdoor shower and a crib which it didn't have. None of these encroached on us having a great vacation, however. The home and location to beach were fantastic. Would definitely recommend. We hope to come back.

Amazing

The location was amazing. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. We enjoyed waking, running and biking in the neighborhood. Nice easy walk into town. The house had a lot of space for our family and met all of our needs.

Great location

Perfect location. Short walk to private beach. 1.2 mile walk into town with restaurants and shops. 20 minute drive to Chatham. House was spacious with large outdoor deck and backyard. Plenty of activities and restaurants nearby. Would definitely rent this house again.

More expensive less amenities

We loved staying at this property in 2020. We booked it for two weeks and since we couldn’t go out to dinner because of the pandemic we cooked in almost every single night. We found the house had ample supplies of plates, platters, cups and anything else you would need to serve dinner to a party of 12 for dinner each night.. Unfortunately when we rented it for 2021 the price nearly doubled. We were only able to come for one week instead of 2 because of the cost. Sadly we paid more and even though it stated multiple places that there were beach chairs, we had none. The property manager responded quickly to my inquiry and told me it doesn’t come with beach towels or chairs. Luckily we brought plenty of towels. It’s too bad that places have started charging more but providing less during these crazy times.

Perfect location

This house is really only 30 seconds from the private beach. It was absolutely perfect -- warm water, pristine beach, and easy walk. The house was spacious and highly functional--very comfy and easy to settle into. The kitchen was very well put together and the backyard area was gorgeous. The only issue -- if you can call it an issue -- was that the bathrooms weren't "appointed" with what I was expecting, given the cost of the rental. I was expecting full tissues, hand towels, face towels and bath towels in each of the bathrooms (we had to buy our own tissues and go searching through the house for the other stuff). Outside of that, it was just great. We would definitely rent this house again!

Location...Location...Location!

You are literally 500 feet to the water and what's better than a private beach? The public beaches on either side of us were packed but we never had any more than 3 groups on the private beach. The home is large and the listing does it no justice. It is fully stocked with beach chairs, a couple bikes, beach toys and plenty of beach towels. While the home is older, there are many updates. We had a very hot week and the central A/C on the main floor was fantastic. Clearly a big part of the upstairs was an addition and a few bedrooms had window units which did OK. The neighbors are not right on top of you. The grill on the patio was dirty with greasy aluminum foil all over it so we gave it a good cleaning. You will either need long matches or a long lighter, the igniter was broken so you have to manually light it. The owner has made sure that everything you could possibly need is there and we truly felt like we were in our own home. Our group was 4 adults and 6 teens, there was entry of room to spare. My youngest sat and did puzzles every night. There are plenty of board games, cards and puzzles to entertain yourself with. 1 thing you might want to know is very few TVs. 1 in the living room, 1 in the dining room and 1 in the upstairs master. None in any of the other bedrooms. It didn't bother us. All of the restaurants and things to do are also very close by. I would certainly recommend this home and would also stay again with my family.
