1. One of the bathrooms had no electricity for lights and for fan, so complete darkness after 8 pm until 4 am and it was not a fuse that died. Being inventive, we use an extension cord and a table lamp, but not all tenant are so accommodating and inventive for that price, I am so sure. It is very hard not to notice between tenants while inspecting and cleaning. Reported to NE Vacation Rentals - no reply of any sort.2. Outside grill had no working temperature control, so no matter of dial position it was heating up to 450 degree Celsius. We had to open and close the cover many times to control the temperature! Reported, no response of any sort.3. NE Real Estate and / or VRBO is charging a step price for cleaning after stay, but still threatening to charge 250 additional fee, if - and there going a long list of potential mistake a tenant could make - all furniture is exactly in place, all dishes are cleaned, all in house is tidy, all from fridge is taken, so on, so forth, as if the tenants haven't paid for cleaning. The whole intimidation of even additional fee of 250 is sort of diminishing, given no lights in bathroom, grill has no temp. control, and imaging this - they pick up trash with a loud beeps when truck backs down the long driveway at 6:30 am.4. Otherwise house is very well supplied, beautiful inside and out, it's just the cleaning crew doesn't care at all / maintenance of it in the absence of owners is substandard. Such a shame for such a beautiful house.
