    Whether you're visiting the area for a weekend getaway, a wedding, a graduation, a JMU, EMU, or Bridgwater event, or anything else, the Martin Cottage is the perfect place to stay to experience our area!

    There is a 240 volt/50 amp car plug. You will need to bring your own cord.

The house is equipped very well and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable and linens were great. Very convenient location as well.

Great place to stay with family. It’s a short drive to JMU and downtown Harrisonburg. There are groceries and food options close by and the host provides an excellent, printed guide to all things local. The place is set up with anything you need when staying in a home away from your own. The host was easy to communicate with and super responsive via the VRBO app. We would definitely stay again!

This property was a great location for us as we were attending baseball games at JMU. The owner was exceptional and responsive to all of our needs and questions. The little details in the house were appreciated and so welcoming!

Home was immaculate! They really thought through every detail and made sure we were stocked on anything we may need. There were so many games and activities to keep the kids entertained also. We will recommend to anyone staying in that area!

Escape weekend

We were in Harrisonburg for an escape room. This place was perfect. Everything we needed was provided. The rooms and showers were awesome. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We absolutely loved this property and only wish we’d been able to spend more time in it. Beautiful, comfortable and equipped with all the comforts of home - we will definitely be back!

Lovely, well equipped home

Beautiful, very clean, with thoughtfully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, plus a great basement play room for the kids.

Great place!

This rental was exactly like the photos, well stocked and maintained! The furniture was comfortable, check in/out was simple and everything was in working order. I'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

Our host was excellent! He was quick to respond to any question I had and provided clear understandable instructions for everything. The house was awesome. Exactly as the pictures show. No surprises. We were very comfortable and close to things we wanted to see and do. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Always ideal!

Clean and nicely appointed, located close to town (10 minutes to downtown) and has everything you might need! Eliot is a great host, responsive and helpful. Looking forward to coming back!

Practically perfect in every way!

We had the most amazing stay at this lovely home! The property is immaculate and so well appointed. The host thought of every comfort a guest could want. We had lots of visits from wildlife in the backyard which was fun to watch and we were so close to everything. We look forward to staying here again when we are in the area!

Great location and super clean!

We had a fabulous stay for a weekend visit with siblings/souses! This place is immaculate and has all the homey touches you could imagine. It was easy to check in and property rules were simple and precise. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back again! Highly recommend!

Our host was exceptional in every way. Eliot was flexible and available as we were guests as a giant winter weather storm was predicted. Everything in the house was clean, orderly and as described. There were even some local chocolates to indulge ourselves. Most impressive though was Eliot’s care and compassion. We were in the Harrisonburg area to attend a funeral and every message and question answered was also accompanied by kindness and empathy.

Moving Daughter to Bridgewater College - will stay again!
