We stayed at Orchard Hill Estate in November, and it was truly one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve ever had. The home itself is absolutely beautiful — spacious, comfortable, immaculate, and thoughtfully designed. Everything we needed was accessible, and it felt welcoming from the moment we walked in.What made our stay exceptional, though, were the hosts, Abbe and Jeff. They went above and beyond in every way. Abbe personally helped us find great local restaurants, guided us through arranging grocery delivery, checked in with us throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed, and even helped us collect something we left behind upon our departure. Their communication, hospitality, and attention to detail were outstanding.We would enthusiastically recommend Orchard Hill Estate, and Abbe and Jeff as hosts, to anyone looking for a wonderful VRBO stay. We will absolutely be back!

A Perfect Summer Weekend

Abbe and Jeff were the best hosts for my brother’s bachelor party weekend. The house itself is perfectly vintage, with lots of charming character, absolutely tons of space, everything you could imagine for a chill summer weekend. The pool was clean, spacious, and the pool area + grill were a perfect setup for making your own food. The yard was a sunny place to chill, lounge, enjoy the sun, and enjoy lawn games, and the house itself was stocked with all the amenities you need. I was thoroughly impressed! The amount of beds was crucial to housing everyone under the same roof – and the indoor rec room was the perfect place to cheer on the Olympic Games. The location is situated just south of Newburgh, adjacent to Storm King and Harriman State Park. You are both completely in a rural feeling, even though you are in the accessible suburbs, only an hour and a half away from New York City. We golfed at a beautiful course only 5 minutes from the house! Abbe and Jeff were wonderfully communicative. We got along fantastically, and I was so grateful to them for a very thorough explanation of what to expect from the house, including a personal tour around the property. We didn’t use the barn, but the barn looks absolutely stunning for any other type of event. Overall, this was the perfect weekend to relax just outside of New York with a bunch of my favorite people. Many thanks to Abbe and Jeff for being such gracious and communicative hosts throughout the entire process.

Great stay with family

Our extended family (15 people and 2 dogs) stayed at this property for the fourth of July 2023 week. We all had a great time. From the beginning, all went well. The house was spotless. The kids spend much of the time in the pool, which they cleaned daily. Abbe and Jeff stopped by to see if we needed anything, and left useful notes (eg what switches turned on which lights; good place to eat in the neighborhood). We would highly recommend this for a relaxing stay.

Mansion on the Hill

We had 17 for Thanksgiving and this was the perfect place. Everything was as advertised and Abbe and Jeff are the best hosts we’ve had in over 15 rentals. Game room was fantastic for our ping pong tournament!

Perfect for Family Reunion

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Orchard Hill Estate this July. We were a group of 14, ages 10-75. There was something for everyone. The pool was great- we sat by it day and when it was lit up at night it was a nice place to hangout. The kids game room was awesome- tons of space for board games, ping pong and video games- so spacious! Fun for all of the cousins to share one big room! Really nice to be somewhere where the whole family can sit and share a meal together, the dining room fit us all. Nice neighborhood for a walk. The house and hosts were welcoming- nicely decorated. The AC was fantastic on the more hot/humid days. Would be nice to visit again anytime of year. Thank you to the hosts, Jeff and Abbe- you were both very responsive.

West Point Graduation 2023

Jeff and Abbie are superb host. The house is amazing and comfortable and very large to host our family of 25. We had a great time there celebrating my sons graduation. Jeff and Abbie went above and beyond answering all my calls and text with every question or concern we had. We were able to enjoy my sons graduation party at the house with so much room to play cornhole, and hangout. The Pool Room was great for those family members that wanted to stay out a little later without disturbing everyone else asleep. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub. I cannot thank you enough Jeff and Abbie for being amazing host. Also, having the fire and doing s’mores at night was great. Great stay for our sons West Point Graduation and such a memorable time. I highly highly recommend this place and these amazing host. Thank You

Family Reunion

Birthday Weekend

I had a dream weekend celebrating my 30th birthday with a group of my closest friends. Abbe and Jeff were lovely to communicate with and made sure things went smoothly. They were quick to answer questions, provided many details about the property and surrounding area, and even helped suggest restaurants and private chefs in the area. When we arrived, they made sure everything was set up in the house, including ensuring we knew where things were and that we had adequate internet (since many of us worked remotely on Friday from the house). We were also able to bring our pups with us, which made the experience even better and more convenient. The house is even better in person, especially the piano room. The hot tub was nice and big, the rooms were spacious, and the house was the perfect size overall for our group. I would suggest this house for any large family or group gathering, and would love to return again in the summer to make use of the massive outdoor space with the fountain. Thanks for a great weekend!

Great home for Family Thanksgiving

Great home for our West Point visit. The teens had a blast with the ping pong table. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit for smores. The Kitchen was incredibly stocked for our home cooking. Lots of bedrooms and bathroom combinations to accommodate our group. Abbe and Jeff are prompt with all communication and the town of Monroe has multiple places that offer discounts if you are staying in the house!

Beautiful Fall Weekend w/Friends

Abbe and her husband were incredibly welcoming to myself and my group. Their home is incredibly well located - an easy 1.5 hr drive from the city (shorter without traffic) and just an hour by bus or train. I highly recommend visiting in fall. The trees are beautiful and the house is incredibly cozy with a wood burning stove and hot tub outside. My friends and I spent the weekend going on hikes (a short drive from the house), playing games in the living room and those who like shopping had time to take a pit stop at the nearby Woodbury Commons. Abbe is well connected within the town and gave us an incredibly comprehensive list of restaurants and activities to check out during our stay. Orange Hill Estate is a rare find - if you have a large group this home will be perfect for you.

Absolutely amazing!

Abby and Jeff where absolutely amazing to work with. They helped me with a 40th birthday event that was everything we wanted it to be. Their event room was the perfect size and location within the house and was easy to separate the rest of the house where our family and I stayed. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and so is the home. Abby and Jeff pay attention to all the details you could possibly thing of, they went over the house and all the features beforehand and during check in. They really just made this memorable for all involved and I'm so thankful for all their help and support. Can't wait to visit their home in the future.

A Birthday Party In Monroe NY

A beautiful property in the splendor of New York's Hudson Valley. Our wonderful hosts were minuets away if we needed them & had suggestions for chefs, bartenders or caterers in the area. The initial meeting & overview of the home was welcoming & informative. The 200 year old home & property were everything promised and more. Art work, plants and antique furniture make it a splendid yet homey and comfortable space. We were a party of 18 lifelong friends celebrating a milestone birthday over a long fall weekend. The kitchen is spacious & was a joy to use. (A lot of great food came out of there!) Dining room fit everyone without crowding or a "kids table" required. The group of us had such an amazing time we are talking about making it an annual event. Truly a lovely old home on a hill!

Wonderful time!!

Abbe was very communicative and made the whole experience easy. We were a group of 7 and had LOTS of space to spread out, with a nice kitchen where we easily made meals and common rooms where we congregated. The house is lovely with perfectly sized rooms, comfortable beds, lots of bathrooms, etc. and a great hot tub for this chilly October weather. Honestly, everything was so EASY here, and we spent our weekend having fun with our friends. Harriman State Park is so close too so again, easy to go for a hike. Highly recommend Abbe, Jeff, and Shana's wonderful house and would absolutely stay there again given the opportunity.

Magical family reunion

It was a dream to be able to stay together at Abbe and Jeff’s gorgeous home. The house was pristine, yet cozy and comfortable. It lended itself perfectly to our large multigenerational family. The pool was spectacular. We enjoyed large family style meals together. There are so many great spaces throughout the house to be able to come together and spend time together. The bedrooms were perfect. Abbe and Jeff were incredibly gracious, helpful, and accommodating. It couldn’t have been a more wonderful stay in a gorgeous setting.
