Ideal for traveling on to Stansted airport lovely rooms very clean, free parking. Breakfast was ok a little over cooked staff very friendly

The hotel part is at the back of the Pub so very quiet. The room and bed were very comfortable and clean. Nice to stay somewhere where the decor was different to the standard hotel. We stayed there two nights and all meals were very good and served really hot. It was also nice to have the choice of different options for breakfast. The bar and restaurant are separate and really clean and nicely furnished. We have stayed in several hotels in this area during the past year and the Green Man is one of the nicest we have stayed in. It is also very reasonably priced. All the staff were very helpful and friendly in particular Janna on reception. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked out next stay before we left.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and bar next door were very good. The Specials on the menu were special. They had a good range of beers and wine. The staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. It was a lovely place to stay and I'd happily stay there again

Staff were extremely helpful, we had a wobbly toilet seat that the maintenance man was sent to repair as soon as it was reported. Restaurant staff were very obliging, allowing us to move tables to a more airy position.

A fabulous place in which to stay. Bags of historic character with numerous areas in which to lounge, eat and drink- as well as outside. Staff were helpful and very friendly and the dining menu looked amazing (though we didn't eat on this occasion). The bedroom was comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was inventive with smashed avocado, smoked salmon and choice of eggs as well as two versions of a full breakfast. 'Continental' was an alternative. The Old Town of Harlow looked as though it would merit a future visit

We only had the room for one night and did not use the other facilities but the room was clean and well appointed. The check in staff were great and we were given a ground floor room due to some mobility issues

We have been staying with this hotel for 9 years...we will always be patrons. The food is fantastic...parking is great....it's quiet and peaceful. The place is a blast from English heritage..we love ❤️ it.

Stay in a lot of Green Big hotels and they are always lovely the room was nice but could do with a bigger fan as they room was in the loft of the building, food was really nice staff are very happy to help and lovely in general

We only stayed for one night before an early morning flight from Stansted, but we were pleased with our stay. It was good value for money, the bed was comfortable, and we had a good night’s sleep — albeit a short one due to our early flight! The hotel was only around a 15-minute drive from the terminal, which made it really convenient for an early departure. There’s also a large car park at the back, which was really handy. Just be mindful of where you park if you’re leaving your car there, as we came back to find ours had been rather generously decorated by the local birds after parking under a tree! We arrived too late to eat at the pub, but there’s a small shopping centre about a 10-minute walk away with various takeaway options and a Co-op. Overall, we had a comfortable and convenient stay and would stay here again.

Really nice hotel. Room was really hot but it was a heat wave and probably not a problem most of the time. Staff were so friendly and helpful especially in the pub for dinner and breakfast. Easy access to train station and travel in to London. Was a nice place to stay outside of all the business. Easy access to Stansted airport too. Would definitely stay again.

All staff were so friendly and helpful from check-in to staff in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble despite the hotel being full. Rooms were comfortable and clean. We had two peaceful nights stay here and would definitely recommend and stay again if we had the need.

Cute rooms, very chic, had trouble with the amenities in the bath which was sorted out in the morning. Would have been great if they have room service, restaurant is next door.

Staff helpful as usual. Room well appointed. Room on second floor quite hot, fan provided but still warm. Large shower head needs descaling as jets pointing in all directions and leakage from top.
