extraordinary stay
It was an extraordinary beautiful house. The entire holiday flat was tastefully furnished to a high standard. The bedroom had enough storage space for clothes and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, clean and met all requirements. All the necessary kitchen utensils were available and of good quality. The living room and dining room area as well as the overall ambience was cosy and beautiful. We were completely satisfied and would love to come back.

Very pleasant stay
Had a little difficulty in locating due to relying on "Google" rather than Gary's excellent directions! Location on Google maps has now been updated. Easy access, everything found as listed in Gary's detailed information sheet. Very clean and tidy. Host has great attention to detail. Bed very comfortable, slept well every night. Quiet location. Well equiped kitchen, with wellcome pack of essentials and treats for the week. Comfortable settee and good smart TV. Good Wifi. Convenient bus stop next to property.

Amazing short break
Excellent communication from the host. Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented cottage. Had everything we needed, great quiet location close to everywhere we needed. The sun shone and we had an amazing time with great family memories made.

Awesome
Everything about our stay was wonderful. We toured all over northern Wales and it was such a joy to return to our cozy accommodation at the end of each day. Loved every minute. There was a bunch of yummy goodies waiting for us when we checked in. The hosts were wonderful.

One word - Amazing!
We stayed over Christmas - it was an amazing little place to get away from the city and spend quite time with the family, very cosy! Also looks like a great place to visit in summer, close to beach, sailing, trail walks and sight seeing locations. Great for a small family I.e. couple with two kids or even a couples getaway. Furnishings are really nicely done too and a kitchen with everything you need!

What a wonderful place , from the moment of booking the communication was excellent, the cottage was immaculate and lovely to find a gift voucher for the Harlech grocery store which provided us with all our nutritional needs.

Hen Stabl Cottage - Harlech
We as a family really enjoyed our stay at Hen Stabl, the cottage is immaculate and done to a really nice standard. A great location with some nice local walks down to the beach. Gary as a host was great, really welcoming and helpful.

Lovely break
It was our first time using Vrbo and was a little apprehensive however need not have worried. Within an hour of booking the host was in touch with all information and contact information which was much appreciated. We had a lovely long weekend at Hen Stabl. The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It was very cosy and comfortable and we had a lovely break. Property is conveniently located to explore the surrounding areas and we enjoyed visiting Barmouth , Porthmadog, Harlech and Beddgelert. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to look

Absolut wunderbar!!
Bei meiner Ankunft nach 20h brannten einige der schönen Tischlampen und es war warm. Was für ein wunderbarer Empfang. Alles supersauber. Stilvolle Einrichtung/Deko mit hochwertigen Produkten im skandinavischen Design. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet (keine Gewürze/Öl/Zewa vorhanden!). Untere Etage: Eingangsbeich mit Garderobe, 2 Schlafzimmer mit Türe, eins mit Queensize Bett und super Matraze, 1 modernes, fensterloses Bad mit Spiegelschrank. Obere Etage: Ein großer Raum mit Küche/Ess-/Wohnbereich. Je 2 kl. Dachfenster pro Seite und eine Glastüre nach draußen. Also schön hell. Natursteinwand, Kamin. Einfach alles wunderschön!! Lage: In 2. Reihe, in kleiner Straße, an der Küstenstraße zw Harlech/Barmouth. Hat Vor- und Nachteile. Großer schöner Garten hinterm Haus. Leicht zugebauter Ausblick auf Garten und Meer in der Ferne. Fußmarsch auf gekennzeichnetem Feldweg zum Strand 20' , Auto 5'. Bonus: Hatte den netten Vermieter Gary im Vorfeld um eine Yogamatte und einen spez. Wanderführer gebeten. Beides lag bei Ankunft bereit!! Zusatzlnfo: Für Alleinreisende ist das hinter dem Hen Stable Cottage gelegene Ty Golchi Cottage wunderbar. Klein, mega-gemütlich, Blick in Garten, Zugang zu eigener Terrasse. Nachteil: Das Schlafzimmer liegt hinter der nach oben/seitlich offenen Küche.

Wonderful Stay at Hen Stabl
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this cottage was. During our trip we stayed at various cottages, hotels, and inns for a month. This was the BEST stay of all of them. The place was immaculate, the bed comfortable, and the location superb. Due to a rail bridge issue, we had to take a bus to Harlech. We were dropped off with our luggage in the pouring rain. Gary went out of his way to retrieve us so we didn't get soaked. Thank you, Gary for an exceptional stay.

Lovely holiday home
Highly recommend Hen Stabl. Gorgeous, comfortable, well designed accommodation with great attention to detail. One of the nicest we have stayed in. Great location to beautiful local beaches and good access to Snowdon. Gary was very welcoming and responsive to messages. 100% recommend.

Lovely stay again
This is our third stay here and we love it . It is a beautiful and well thought out property. The open plan living room/kitchen is perfect for a family group like us . We especially love the shared garden which is so peaceful with great garden furniture and gorgeous planting . Llanfair is a beautiful Welsh village with stone cottages and an old church right next to the property . We like walking into Harlech or down to the beach at Llandanwg. We’ll definitely be back .

First family holiday…
Lovely property to stay at with a large back garden for the kids to run around in. Good location in terms of access to beaches and other places, such as Portmeirion and Porthmadog. Gary was an excellent host and was always at hand if we needed anything. Would definitely stay in this accommodation and location again.

Geschmackvolles Haus in toller Umgebung
Ein äußerst liebe- und geschmackvoll saniertes und ausgestattetes Ferienhaus war für uns Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto in die nähere wunderschöne Umgebung. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch der große, schöne und gepflegte Garten, der mitgenutzt werden kann. Der äußerst freundliche Vermieter wohnt im Nebenhaus und steht deshalb unproblematisch zur Verfügiung, wenn irgendetwas zu klären ist. Kleines Manko: Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind klein. Wir waren mit der Unterkunft sehr zufrieden und empfehlen sie gerne weiter!

Für uns ein Traumurlaub
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im Hen Stabl. Ein traumhaftes Cottage, wunderschön eingerichtet, klein - aber fein. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Gary, der Vermieter ist sehr nett und immer ansprechbar. Harlech ist ein großartiger Ort in dem man (auch mit Kindern) viel unternehmen kann, in einer wunderschönen Landschaft! Wir kommen wieder!

Upside Down
Wonderful property, clean, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. In a small village very quiet but a short drive from Porthmadog and Barmouth in either direction and within a few minutes drive from the amazing beach at Harlech. I loved the property and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again or recommend it to anyone.

Delightful Cottage
An absolute stunning cottage. This was our 3rd stay with these owners. The cottage was kitted out like a show home. Quality fixtures and fittings and fantastic attention to detail. Would 100 % recommend.

Hidden gem
This property was fantastic! We go away at least once a month and this, by far, was the cleanest, modern, and best equipped accommodation we've stayed in. We explored north Wales including Snowdon and was a great base. We are looking to return when the weather is a bit warmer. The accommodation was so comfortable, warm and inviting. The interior design is beautiful. There literally is nothing wrong with this place. We loved it.

Brilliant base for North Wales adventuring
We stayed for a week over the Easter school holidays and had a really wonderful time. The property was exactly as pictured and featured everything needed for a really relaxing stay. We enjoyed warm evenings by the fire and slept very well in the comfortable beds. It's the perfect bolthole after a day out in the countryside.

Lovely Break
We had an enjoyable holiday at the Hen Stabl. The place was spotlessly clean and the child gate was fitted ready for our stay with our 18 months old. The location is lovely and quiet. It is also located near to the beach. Gary was very welcoming and on hand if need. We would highly recommend staying at the Hen Stabl.

Delightful Holiday
We had a fantastic time in this cottage, it was a great base to explore the surrounding areas. Checking in was very easy, the property was very well maintained to a high standard. Furnishings were of great quality. We were warm and cosy especially with the wood burner. We will definitely be returning to this cottage. Great communication with the property owner.

We enjoyed 5 nights in our cosy cottage. Our host, Gary, put lights on and Xmas songs on the radio, before we arrived. Gary even put Xmas tree and decs up! The cottage was everything we wanted and more!!!!

Would recommend this beautiful accommodation to anybody. Helpful owner, very clean and cosy. Lovely area with nice pubs a short drive away. Will definitely return in the summer months to utilise the garden area.

Family Oct Break
Thank you for providing such a beautiful cottage, it is so welcoming with excellent provision of everything you need. It has been decorated with such style, was such a pleasure to stay in. The garden with all the separate seating areas is a special place too. It is in a good location to visit nearby coastal spots or go into Snowdonia to see the mountains. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

Perfect
A well equipped, spotless and peaceful cottage. Gary is friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We had a lovely relaxing week visiting lots of places in the area and walking along magnificent beaches. The weather was good too. Thanks for the lift to the restaurant As Is which was excellent. We would love to return sometime and will recommend Hen Stabl to friends.

Immaculate cottage in a lovely area.
Having just returned from a great stay at Hen Stabl, we would highly recommend visiting Llanfair. The cottage is beautiful and my kids loved the fact it was upside down with the bedrooms/bathroom on the ground floor and living area/kitchen on the first. The pretty, communal garden was a hit with them too. The cottage is close to a beautiful beach with rockpools and the local town of Harlech which does the best ice cream. It is also just a short drive to Barmouth or Porthmadog for extra things to do when the weather isn't good enough for whole days on the beach. Nothing was too much trouble for Gary and he made is feel extremely welcome. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Ferien auf dem Land
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Ferienwoche in Llanfair. Die Wohnung und der grosse Garten sind sehr gut gepflegt. Die Wohnung ist gut eingerichtet, einzig in der Küche fehlten einige praktische Alltagsgeräte (Mixer, Abtropfkorb für das Geschirr). Gary war jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Umgebung bietet sehr gut Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und einen riesigen Strand mit viel Platz zum Verweilen und Baden. Danke Gary für die gute Woche!

Weather not good
The property was excellent ,very clean and excellent facilities. Weather not brilliant but enjoyed our stay. Harlech beach is stunning , well worth the steps to negotiate to it but 3/4 miles of lovely sand beach.

Just perfect!
From start to finish our stay at Hen Stabl was just perfect! Our host Gary was on hand to help with any query (not that many either) which made our stay one to remember. My 4 year old and 8 year old loved their stay and the garden to the rear of the property proved to be a great space for them to run around and play. All the facilities are superb and the way the property is furnished made it a real home from home experience. We will definitely be returning. If you are visiting then make sure you pop down to Y Groser Harlech for great coffee and croissants in the morning plus lots of local deli treats. Just perfect!
