Spring in Harbor Springs

House was nice. Location was fine. Carpet needs cleaning in home. Very, very slow response from “host” when making inquiries prior to arrival. Very disappointing and frustrating with the communication process prior to arrival. Note to self....try to book through direct owners or 2nd party max. Third party booking was too challenging for a “vacation” or R&R....trip. Too much anxiety and frustrations.

Perfect house for 2 families

Great ski house, we had 8 people and could certainly have accommodated a couple more. Location to Nubs is excellent, and the yard was fun for kids and dogs.

Nice winter ski location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home was clean, with just a couple minor issues. Front door didn’t lock correctly, but wasn’t too worried with someone entering due to non-congested location. Also one cold area in the kitchen because of a drafty window. Management company was very attentive to having a person come out to turn on the basement fireplace when we had trouble doing so. Other than that, it’s a wonderful house with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, large kitchen for a big group. Location was also convenient and close to the Highlands and Nubs for skiing. Having a garage to park 2 vehicles inside helped with loading/unloading, as well as not having a load of snow to clear

5 star house, 1 star furnishings

We had a great time in total, but this house left us puzzled and disappointed. The home itself it great. It was clearly built as a retreat with high end features. Unfortunately the furnishings appear to have been collected from garage sales with holes and a generally dirty appearance. The kitchen chairs were stained and dirty. As well there was visible dust and “grime” in areas. The house had clearly had a mouse problem as there were traps and poison sitting in open view. There were also random homeowner things left about including clothes in the closet and other odds and ends. It snowed 4-6” while we were there and the driveway and walks were never cleared, so we were left to walk over existing ice and snow pack (not unheard of, but not acceptable at this price point). Communication with the management company was poor as zero of my messages through the VRBO app were returned.

Needed to be cleaned. Quite dirty. Food spills. Broken pots and pans. And limited kitchen wear.

We had to spend some time just cleaning the bathrooms and the mirrors. There were dead moths in the shower curtains and food spills on the sides of the walls in the bathroom. All the furniture in the house was heavily worn and ripped in some areas.

Great Family Vacation

Great family house. We had the house for an entire week and had several groups of family come at different times during the week. The house has 4 bedrooms on the second floor and a large finished basement with wet bar, bath, bedroom and living area. Plenty of room. The kitchen was well laid out and the Viking stove was amazing. The only downfall was there was a shortage of pans. It would of been nice to have a large pan for soup or making pasta and a couple of large skillets for eggs and bacon. There were plenty of bathrooms for all and the shower in master bath was amazing. Thanks so much and we will be back

Lovely home

We spent 5 days at this property in 6/21. Beautiful home nestled in a nice wooded area, very private, and nicely equipped. The management team is responsive and addressed our questions and needs. We enjoyed a nice BBQ on the deck. If you enjoy the woods this is a great house. We'll be back!
