"Larchwood Motel is well located. However it is severely lacking in up-keep and maintenance. Upon entering the unit it was smelly - stale alcohol/smoke. We opened up the room (it was freezing) for 15 minutes or so to air it out. The curtains are shabby and ill fitting on some windows. The bathroom was adequate but again shabby, a soiled towel had been left on the hook from a previous stay. The one positive is that the bedding/beds were clean and crisp. "Beautiful, peaceful and worth every cent. We had a wonderful stay at Hanmer Glamping and would happily book again. "Finding the house driveway to the property was a nighmare..i think instructions would be helpful, as the property is on a main road but entrance is tucked away down another street and if you are unfamiliar with hamner it wasn't simple to find, I had to ask the hotel next door how to find it.Otherwise our stay was lovely, very warm house."

"Fantastic dog-friendly accommodation in a lovely unit with fully equipped kitchen, spa bath, lovely grounds in a beautiful setting. Comfortable bed, lovely deck area with table & seating (not used this trip but would be wonderful in the summer), guest laundry on site, easy walking distance to everything, extremely quiet and peaceful with an outlook across the golf course. Our second stay and won't be our last. So great being able to find such good accommodation that allows dogs."

The fireplace was welcome for the cold days and nights - and the instructions were clear to follow for its maintenance. Rooms were cozy and easily met our needs. It was difficult to access some channels on the television - but I believe that may have been due to reception in the area."
