Great communication with host and we appreciated all of the welcome goodies! The home was exactly as pictured. The views of the lush gardens from the many windows throughout the house were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the upstairs porch for reading and listening to the waves. The beach chairs and umbrellas were appreciated and put to good use. Lastly, the proximity to the beach can't be beat and the stroll into town is under 10 minutes. We had an excellent stay!!

A memorable 4th of July

Loved the proximity to the beach, the jungle feel, the deck for eating and sharing. The neighbors behind us were noisy early in the morning sometimes late at night. We enjoyed their fruit stand though. Appreciated the fans for air and noise cover. Always love the roosters. Dianna cleaned half way through our stay… thank you. She was great. Appreciated the beach chairs and boogey boards and washer and dryer. It was an easy house, lots of towels and kitchen equipment… we love Hanalei. Thank you

We couldn’t have asked for a better location. My family wanted to surf, boogie board, hike and relax. This location was right by the beach, walking distance to the town( shave ice) and very close to the national park. We loved being on Hanalei Bay, we feel that the experience wouldn’t have been the same in Princeville. We found the beds comfortable, there were tons of fans, kitchen was well stocked and we would love to come back. If I could make a suggestion, although didn’t alter my rating, It’s so nice to have a working beach umbrella.

We loved our stay. Beautiful, clean home. Steps to the beach, walking distance to town shops and restaurants. Easy access to Haena shuttle for the park and a great location to explore all the north shore has to offer.

Amazing house and location

The Sunset Hale was absolutely gorgeous. My wife's family and I spent a week there and found it spotless, spacious, and serene. The house is literally just off the beach at Pine Trees. The owners stocked the rental with a half dozen beach chairs, beach towels, and even a beach umbrella. The kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances you'll need, plus a rice cooker. My only complaint would be that some sharper knives would have been nice. The bedding was comfortable, as was the living room furniture. The lanai was one of the best features. We would sit out at the spacious table and eat breakfast and watch all the surfers and beachgoers walk by. There was also a huge gas grill that was immaculately maintained. While my wife and I have made nearly a dozen trips to Kauai, this was our in-laws first time and I'm afraid we may have ruined all future trips for them by setting the bar so high!

Wow!

This really is a special property! The proximity to the beach and town can’t be beat, and the house/property did not disappoint. My family and I spent a lot of time cooking our own meals and were really impressed on how well equipped the kitchen was for 6 adults. The house was clean, the owner was responsive when needed, and the amenities were everything we were looking for. The whole experience was so positive, I will seek this property out again for my next trip. Mahalo!

Hanalei Vacation Summer 2023

Hanalei Bay is beautiful and it’s so nice to stay right on the beach to be able to enjoy it especially in the late afternoon when it’s less crowded. Fun to walk to and jump off pier. The house is comfortable and spacious with great amenities and lovely landscaping. Spent a lot of time on the great deck, just wish the trees were scaled back for an ocean view which would add to the lovely deck. Foot wash and outdoor shower were really nice and very convenient. We love hot water outdoor showers, a real treat. The rental company was generous and responsive. It can get muggy when there is no breeze, the numerous fans help a lot. Lovely home.

Grandkid paradise

Great location half a block from the beach. Super for quick trips with the 2year old snd 4yr old. Plenty of local services withing walking distance. Grocery was hawaii reasonable on prices. Hanelei bay in Summer had just enough swell for the kids to boogie board. Plave had beach chairs, umbrellas,and boogie board. great jumping off spot for Northshore beaches.

Perfect location with beautiful grounds and scenery

115 steps from the front door to the grass of Hanalei beach, hard to beat that for the price you pay for this location. We loved how close we were to restaurants and shops, 1/2 mile walk or drive. We used the outdoor shower and the foot cleaning faucet on the regular. We cooked dinner 3 times, we ate out the rest. If you plan to cook at the house, give yourself plenty of time, heating food and boiling water at sea level is slower than some people are used to. We live at a high elevation but have stayed in rentals on the islands before so we were prepared, the kids, who we made cook twice, we’re not lol. The beds and pillows were really comfortable, the living room furniture wasn’t but we still sat in there every night, visiting with our two grown kids and their significant others. I would imagine this rental gets pretty warm in the summer months without AC but it was perfect during our stay in March. Lots of ceiling fans, plug in fans and stand up air conditioners are available in each room. We had such a lovely time and agree that for our active lifestyle and the beautiful green scenery surrounding Hanalei Bay, our VRBO pick was spot on.

Perfect Spot in Hanalei

Our family spent the week before Christmas at Sunset Hale. The location near the beach, proximity to town, everything was perfect. It is a nice beach house with everything you need. We would go back.

A week in paradise

What a perfect place to stay!!! Right next to the beach and a quick walk to anything you need. The house is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed fresh fish from the dolphin fish market, ice cream from Pink’s twice and the amazing sunsets almost every day. House is as shown and made for a wonderful trip to Hanalei.

Sunset Hale In April 2022

Wonderful house in Hanalei. Well-maintained, clean, beautiful garden, well-equipped kitchen. Steps away from the ocean….you can hear the waves. A perfect family vacation spot. Would love to return again. Advertised as ocean views from the lanai but neighbors hedge overgrown so no view. Otherwise a truly lovely family vacation home.

Amazing!

We had such a wonderful time at Sunset Hale in Hanalei. The management company (Kauai Vacation Rentals) was great to work with during all aspects of our stay. They communicated regularly with us on travel requirements and answered any questions we had about our trip. The home is very clean and has everything you would need for your stay. We greatly appreciated the recommendations for restaurants/shopping in the area and were very thankful for the owners, who left a thoughtful gift since we were staying over the holiday. The house is close to the beach and walking distance from shopping and restaurants. It is on a popular street for beach access/surfers, so there was some traffic, but nothing that wouldn't be expected in any beach town. We spent lots of time on the deck and utilized the grill & kitchen daily. I would highly recommend this home and we will definitely be back!

Amazing Hanalei Beach House

I had a wonderful stay with my daughters and husband. We we’re steps to the beach. The Lanai has a peek a boo view of the ocean. We walked into town too. It was a very convenient location. The house was perfect! Felt like you were in the middle of the jungle. Clean, and had everything you could need. We loved the outdoor shower too. The Owners welcome gifts were a very nice touch. We used a couple of the gift cards. We would definitely stay there again.
