Best Location

Perfect location super close to the beach, a short stroll into town, and on a quiet street. Lovely views of the mountains from the lanai and the living room. Beautiful, comfortable house with lots of beach toys. Na Pali Properties provided great communication throughout. Highly recommend!

Down by the bay

It was dreamy to stay in a home one block from Hanalei Bay. We loved our north shore time in such an ideal location. We were able to walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Our visit was in February, we did not find the non air conditioned room too warm. We found this room actually very comfortable. The beach wagon / backpack cooler / beach toys were a nice perk. This enhanced beach time for our children and reduced the items we had to haul in our suitcases or rent on island. I appreciate staying in a home that provides enough toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, laundry detergent and dish soap for a stay. It’s one less thing to coordinate - makes it more of a vacation. We loved the outside shower after our beach days. It helped us to avoid issues with sand in the home. Lovely home. We hope to stay again. Mahalo!

Wonderful family vacation

We really loved our stay at Hale Ola Kai for several reasons. First of all, the location was amazing - literally around the corner and across the street from the beach park at Hanalei Bay. It was easy access directly to the beach. The home is in a very quiet and peaceful culdesac. We loved using the surf boards, SUP, boogie boards, chairs and miscellaneous beach equipment. The kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed to fix our meals at home and eat outside on the deck, which had incredible views all around. The rooms were comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was great. The one room with the 2 twin beds wasn't air conditioned, so we had to make sure we turned on all the fans and opened windows to get a breeze, otherwise it was uncomfortable for a bit. We didn't even use the downstairs family room or office and kitchenette, but it would be great if we had the need to stay inside. I also really loved the fact that there was enough seating indoors for our whole family to relax at the end of the day - there are 3 large couches in the upstairs family room. I really loved the fact that I felt like I was walking into a home that had everything I needed for my vacation - from garbage bags, laundry soap, bathroom supplies, extra towels and linens, a fully stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, beach toys, etc. It made it so much easier to relax as well as clean up after ourselves. I would highly recommend this rental and we are excited to return again soon!

Great home!

Very relaxing stay - walking distance to beach and town. Well equipped house, great kitchen set up, beach gear etc. AC works well in the 2 bedrooms. Definitely warm in rest of the house during the day, but not unbearable at all. We'll be back!

Great house and location. Will be back!

Wonderful house. Three bedrooms were comfortable. We had four people, but could have easily accommodated a couple of more. The downstairs has a sectional sofa and big tv, but we hardly went down there. Internet is very fast, which is appreciated. There is an Xbox on the 70” tv upstairs, which our kids enjoyed. As no surprise on Kauai, the chickens are loud at night! The house next door is also rental and they were loud a couple of nights. There is a nice assortment of beach gear (wagons, chairs, towels, body boards, light snorkeling gear). One thing that would be a big improvement woukd be some bikes to ride downtown. At least two would be awesome. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Hanalei.

Perfect house

Property was lovely, well located and stocked with everything you would need for a stay. The Mountain View’s were beautiful. The only drawback was the fact the main living area and one bedroom were not air conditioned. We would gladly rent this property for a future stay.

lovely fall break in Hanalei

This place is perfect. A block from the beach. My family (my wife and I, our two little ones, and the two grandmothers) enjoyed every moment of our stay (even the rainy ones). Amazing view of the mountains behind Hanalei. Nice amenities (beach equipment, downstairs shower, etc.). Also, property manager was very communicative and responsive.

Perfection

Beautiful home in a great location. Morning coffee on the deck with the Mountain View was our happy place. The furnishings in this home are beautiful. Lots of Hawaiian charm. The two king beds (suites) are very comfortable. The twin beds are not quite as comfortable for adults but perfect for kids. The beds are not the same height and weren't ideal for the couple who got that room since they couldn't be pushed together. The AC in the bedrooms were a lifesaver and one of the reasons we picked this house. There is not AC in the main living area. We had planned to do a lot of cooking but it was too hot to turn on the oven. More fans or shade from the afternoon sun for this area would be helpful. We were there in August so it may only be an issue during the hottest month. The other amenities we loved were the large TV's, 4 beach chairs (could have used 2 more since the house holds 6 people), beach carts, beach toys and towels. This is truly a magnificent home to rent and the Na Pali management team were very good and helpful. Hope to return someday.

Beautiful home near the beach

We had a lovely 2 week stay at this home. Everything was clean, comfortable, pretty, and well stocked. The view of the mountains was beautiful to wake up to every day, and we spent many hours on the expansive lanai. The bonus space on the lower level provides an extra area for TV watching, playing games, or just relaxing. And of course the location can’t be beat - one block to the beach and barely a 10 minute walk to town.

Beautiful house, but advise against renting thru Na Pali Properties

Beautiful house. However, advise against renting any property managed by Na Pali Properties. This firm charged me final payment on May 24 instead of June 2, which would have been the 60 days prior to reservation, and only then informed me of landslide which cut off Hanalei from rest of Kauai. It was very difficult to come in/out of Hanalei and ruined our trip because we had friends staying in Princeville. The water, ice and washing machine didn't work. I had to rinse our clothes in shower and manually wring them out. Na Pali rep thought that was quiet funny.
