Beautiful home in an amazing location on the north shore of Kauai. Other reviews talked about “breezes”… let me be more clear. There is no A/C, as in most places in Kauai. August days are hot and long, and the house has direct east sun exposure, so sunrises are AMAZING, but after the sun comes up it gets really hot, like 80 degrees inside the house, even with all the windows/doors open, fans on, and shades drawn. Just be prepared, that’s all I’m saying.
Beautiful house and bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen with plenty of pots/pans/utensils for cooking, and an amazing drip coffee maker. New wall microwave/oven, good dishwasher, but the refrigerator needs to be REPLACED. I’m sure the owners will do that soon. Lots of beach gear available, which was great. The marble and wood detail in the home are really beautiful. Only other thing to mention is that all beaches in Hawaii are public, so there were two people sleeping on the beach around the house. We didn’t have any issues, but just be sure to lock your cars and doors.
