We enjoyed our stay at the Frisky Dolphin. The location at the beach made for a perfect weekend. Our dog, Daisy loved being able to explore the beach with it being so secluded on the private area. Rooms were large and open. Everything was clean and comfortable. Contact with the owner was easy and much appreciated. My wife and I come back to the area about 5 times a year to visit our grandchildren. We will definitely book again.

We got in on thursday night after driving 9 hours. All the instructions were absolutely clear and communicated beautifully. We absolutely enjoyed it. Having the access to the beach was great. My son and I went ghost crab hunting at night. Thank you!!

We loved staying in this home! The space was just as pictured. We loved having the private beach access. The owners were responsive and easy to work with. They thought of everything. All of the little comforts of home are already available for your visit.

Beautiful View

The location is great. The view is stunning. There are a few things that could be better. The bathtub in main bath was clogged. There is no way that whoever cleans had to of known that the water would not drain. My husband fixed it. Who wants Maintenace on your expensive vacation. The carpet really needs to be cleaned. As do the bathrooms need some mold removal. There is also a issue with big roaches. I had one crawl across my foot going to the restroom in the middle of the night. Not pleasant. The little roach traps placed around would not accommodate them. We have stayed here a few times and have always enjoyed the location. It is very convenient for family. This trip I forgot to empty my ashtray that had pot butts. Miss Liz was really unhappy that I had smoked outside. It is legal and I have medical issues that I use it for. Otherwise, it was a very nice vaction.

Views Alone Are Worth The Stay!

Your own private beach with beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. Kids played in the sand even in the cooler weather. Got to see dolphins playing while taking morning and evening walks. It was a perfect size house for our family.

2nd Home at heart

Been coming to The Frisky Dolphin for over 4 years. This is where we relax and recharge. Neighborhood is great as are the neighbors. Liz, the manager, is there when needed and not when she isn’t. Perfect harmony

Private beach, deck, and amazing sunrises on the bay!

The frisky dolphin was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. It was a lovely place where we enjoyed peace and quiet and felt like we were 1,000,000 miles away from busy city life. We daily got to enjoy walks on the beach and the friendliness of the Buckroe Beach community.

property was as described. Furniture is very dated and not very comfortable (beds were very nice, though!). You are paying for the view and location.... but watch out for the sand burrs! Theye were EVERYWHERE (like stepping on sand legos!)

Lovely but Not Clean !

I was waiting to review until I Received my refund. But it have been two weeks! Would love to have a real conversation with the owners. Listening needs updated (NoHot tub), we cleaned when we arrived and we cleaned before we left. Very disappointed in Verbo, not checking up on their listings that they promote.

Great location. Poor communication.

The GOOD: We absolutely LOVED the house and the location. Light filled, a spacious layout, multiple porches. Some reviews said it's dated, but it didn't feel that way to us. The home is located an arm's reach to a wide, clean, sandy beach. It's a 1 min walk. Gorgeous views from the porch. We visited during the off season and barely saw other people. The house had everything you could think of. A high chair. Toys. Games. Beach gear. A grill. The kitchen cooking gear is very dated, but I guess I was prepared so it is what it is. It's also 10-15min drive to many activities (aquarium, museums,etc). The NOT SO good: Weak AC. And host communication. First, the kitchen sink briefly clogged as soon as we had moved in. The host responded that she'll send somebody. She never did, and we found a plunger and dealt with it. More frustratingly, we had two days of no cable and no WiFi. Upon alerting the host she suggested WE call the cable company lol. I waited for her to do so. She ignored me. Next day called them myself. The cable company informed us it was a billing issue and it cannot be discussed with renters. I let the host know about this call. She ignored me. I texted her again later on. She again told me to call the cable company (???). I told her again that I had. That's when she finally dealt with it. Considering several of us were working remotely this wasn't great. So basically, if there's an issue you're on your own.

Fantastic house close to the water!

This is a great house! The deck is wonderful and you can see the water from it, there's an umbrella on the deck to shade you while you sit outside and watch the water, the carpets are soft, the beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft, towels AND linens were provided, and the refrigerator was so huge AND it made ice (I know it seems silly to mention this detail, but I am in love with a fridge that makes ice). We are thinking of making this our annual beach rental. There's just one drawback that has nothing to do with the wonderful house. The bay is epic and the water is very gentle, so it's perfect for kids, but there are jellyfish. Everyone got stung except me. We were semi prepared with baking soda and hydrocortisone cream, so the stings were no big deal, but we were hesitant to be in the water as much as we wanted. We are going to buy jellyfish resistant sunscreen next year and see how that goes!

Awesome beach vacation!

We had a great stay! Such a beautiful place. You really do have your own private beach. The cottage is great. Loved the large windows looking out. The host, Liz, was wonderful. Definitely recommend!

Relaxing stay

Private Beach

The Private Beach access was the main reason we rented. The house wasn’t as clean as I prefer, but not terribly dirty. Plenty of amenities: beach chairs, umbrella, games, etc. I would probably bring my own glasses, coffee mugs, and tableware, as those items were few. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and getting familiar with Buckroe. Thanks a bunch!

Frisky Dolphin

The weather was cold first 2 days, then nice. Beach was nice. Restaurants were ok. The home was clean just old. The LR furniture was horrible as was the cookware. My partner said he was eating nothing prepared with those pans. We ate out. Neighbors I met on the left were nice. We did everything by the book. Most likely will not be back.
