We enjoyed the weekend, I myself loved the home it was very spacious. We had a pool party for my son 8th birthday and even though the weekend was not the hottest like we were expecting we still had a great time, the kids did try to take a dip in the pool it was cold. I don’t know much about pools but if it was a heated pool aww man we Allllll would have gotten in and splashed around. Overall we had a wonderful time my son is ready to come back already !!!

Perfect location

I was overly impressed with the property. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. All our events were 1-5 miles away. There are plenty of eating spots within the same mileage. Recommend staying here 10 out of 10

Not Clean and Roach Infested

The overall layout and accommodations of the property was exactly what we were looking for regarding our stay with my wife's aunt, sister and nephew while visiting her mother in Hampton, VA, who also stayed 2 nights with us during our stay. Before our stay commenced, I reached out asking about later check out and the owner was very responsive and replied not a problem for a 2pm check out. When we found that certain areas of the house were not clean, he was also able to witness it when he stopped by one morning to fix the electric lock and immediately refunded the cleaning fee to us. The reason for the 1 star has to do with cockroaches. We saw one a few days in to our stay, and it was dead on the floor near the back door. I contacted the owner and he was emphatic that they do not have an infestation, and we were hopeful. 2 nights from the end of our stay we saw a couple more in the kitchen, on the counter, and our last day we saw several more throughout. We were sure to keep our luggage closed the whole time once discovered and checked everything to ensure none of us were bringing anything back that could infest our homes. This put a huge damper on the stay and made the last couple days very tense and uncomfortable. When I contacted the owner and let him know once we were made aware that the house was infested, he was not willing to do anything at that point because we were close to the end of the stay, not even a partial refund. I would not suggest staying here.

Accommodating

We rented this house and it met our basic needs. Very clean, but would have liked to know about the very steep stairway. Very difficult to carry suitcases up. We were here for one guest to have outpatient surgery. No photos showed the accurate lay out or staircase. This is a nice basic rental, perfect for a big family who is enjoying the historic and family sites "near" area for an affordable price with an above ground pool and basic back yard. A more sophisticated and refined visitor would be disappointed. Especially with the Langley airport noise, basic "HomeGoods" black and white decor. Living room furniture was adequate but dated. Kitchen had minimal plates, plastic only cups and wine "glasses', but an unusually large amount of basic pots and pans (but no sheet pans or cookie sheets). No Saran Wrap, food storage containers or baggies only a very small roll of aluminum foil. The layout was confusing for traveler's who are only adults, A non-regulation "pool table" located behind the sofa with non-working fireplace One bedroom had no night stand lights and in another "on bed vase" with "feathers" was just unnecessary. Dual shower heads in one bathroom were weird; operated like a hose with mist and hard to regulate. The house is located in a large neighborhood with no shopping, restaurants or attractions in the area.

Comfortable and Clean

Nice, safe neighborhood. No problems during our week long stay. This was a great home base for exploring all of the activities in the area. We visited Busch Gardens, Richmond, Williamsburg, Yorktown, several beaches and too a charter fishing trip. We had a great vacation!

Great stay with family!

My family and I which was party of 8 (7 adults/1 child) traveled to the area to attend my son’s college graduation ceremony. The house was truly a home. From the first moment we entered, we felt right at home. The home was clean, looked just like all of the photos listed. It has a warm and cozy feel that was very welcoming. It’s located in a quiet residential neighborhood which was great and we all felt safe and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and having three bathrooms helped with the number of guests. The kitchen had all of the needed amenities. The pool/ping pong table was a hit with my grandfather, as he enjoys playing games. There’s also a host of board games which were great with our down time. Communication with Alonzo was a 10/10, as responses would be received within less than an hour, sometimes within minutes. We did not need to reach out for any concerns during our stay which is alway great. There are informative instructions posted in the house along with being provided by Alonzo. Would definitely return, especially during the warm weather to enjoy the pool. Appreciate the stay and would highly recommend Alonzo’s home.

Great stay in Hampton

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Both the adults and kids had fun with the billiards/air hockey table and Ms. Pac-Man!

Wonderful home in a quiet neighborhood

The home was a wonderful place to relax with the family while visiting Langley AFB. The neighborhood is very quiet and the home is a 5-7 minute drive from the base. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms are large. The entertainment table that features air hockey and pool was a hit. Would absolutely repeat.

Perfect family home

We stayed a few nights for my sons graduation and it was perfect for our family. The location is minutes from everything you need and only about 20 from the Army/Air Force base. Plenty of room for the whole family.

Love the little surprises

I have stayed at a number of rental properties but this one I would have to say went over and above what any other property owner has done. Starting with the mini coffee bar. They have the coffee, filters, flavors, syrups, stir sticks. They had snacks for us, they had drinks and water in the refrigerator for us. The way that they did the towels in the bedrooms was over and above. The game room was just that. They had a mini Pac-Man machine and I’m not sure how many other games were on there. Their mini pool table had air hockey, ping pong, they had TicTac toe that was on the wall to play. They had a washer and dryer that we were able to use and even had a large tub of laundry soap. Most places you stay they give you one little package and you need to go to the store to buy more packages. I would highly recommend this place and it’s also close to some fun spots
