We booked a "last-minute" room for the Apr. 8/24 Total Eclipse of the Sun. This is a "Highway Motel," but the Owner keeps it in excellent condition - and the adjacent Restaurant serves EXCEPTIONALLY good food. "Country Portions," piled high on the plate and DELICIOUS. Thanks to the Wainfleet, I got to see a Total Eclipse I'd waited 63 years to view. HIGHLY recommended.

I absolutely loved the fact that this motel was super clean and new on the inside. The renovations done in the washroom were also very nicely done. I liked the clean bedsheets, new mattress and new pillows. The washroom was also very beautifully built with a new floor and new bathtub which made the whole experience of staying here even more worthwhile. I will definitely be coming back to stay here whenever I am in this area and will recommend this to my family and friends.

Renovated rooms. Retro microwave and mini fridge. The shower is a walk-in and the head was a rainfall however the water pressure could use a boost. The owners were friendly. The room could’ve used paint touch ups as there were chunks missing from previous guests. Even though newly renovated there are other updates that was overlooked. The owner was receptive when informed. All in all it was a good value for the price.

The property looks outdated outside from the road. Pool was open and clean. Rooms are clean and neat. Bathroom was updated and looked not just clean but new.

I had a nice stay here! Newly renovated room. Quiet and a comfortable bed. The check in was smooth. The owner even had a burger made from his restaurant when I requested it when it was very close to closing. Good place to stay.

Would stay again.
This is a decent hotel with basic amenities. The owner is friendly and accommodating. The place was clean although older. The bed and room were comfortable. The attached restaurant has excellent food at reasonable prices.

Poor Front Desk Service
The booking was fine. Got confirmation number. However when I went to check in at 16:30 there was no one at the front desk and the restaurant was not open. Only from leaving a phone message did someone get back to tell me were the key was left. I got into my room around 18:30. Check out was similar problem of no one at the front desk to receive the key back. The restaurant was open for breakfast.

Wonderful experience! The staff went out of their way at every turn to make me feel welcome and to make my stay comfortable. The food at the restaurant was served quickly and tasted fresh and well cooked.

run down and unclean and sketchy after viewing our room ( and paying for it) we left to find other lodgings the pictures on this site are so not accurate! suggest you do not go here to stay

Country, Peace and Comfort
Internet worked great, satellite tv, . Nice size bathroom. Beds very comfy, fridge worked well as did the microwave. It was very peaceful, I had my Rotty and cat with me, plenty of room! The restaurant is nice, delicious and well presented food. The wife is a great cook. Service all around was good, very nice people. I'd go back. I'm not a 5-⭐️ Kind of person. I don't like to go where your afraid to break something and hang with "uppity" people I like down to earth, inexpensive comfortable places with Great food and extremely reasonable prices.

Nothing fancy but good value
Some rooms are in better condition than others. This motel is clean and very very simple. Some rooms are ready for a make over, but at under a hundred dollars a night they are perfect for events and day tripping. The restaurant has an excellent menu of entrees for under 20 dollars that are worthy of anything you will find in the best restaurants in Niagara. The motel is also pet friendly and located minutes from two of Ontario's working dog clubs. Our expectations were not high when we booked but certainly found that we got good value for our money. We will definitely be back.

Dated Hotel
No carpeting which was nice, bathroom very dated and some mold in tub caulking. Air conditioner hasn't been cleaned in a while but worked. Curtains need cleaning. Bed sheets were clean and bed comfortable. No coffee maker and couldn't get the TV to turn on. Very spacious with a couch but not sure how clean it was.

Dont stay here
It was pretty sketchy, i mean my room had dead potato bugs everywhere, even in the tub. The main light did not work and neither did the fireplace. I stayed in the honeymoon suite due to a room mistake. I booked it on here and the guy who rented me the room did not see that i had booked a room because of not checking his emails. He also seemed weird. If anyone had to go to the office we had to press the buzzer and stand outside in the cold for 5 minutes. I think this place needs to be completely gutted and redone, if not shut down. Only positives were that the towels and linen were clean and the breakfast buffet was yummy.

Nice Enough!
We used this Motel as a 'home' base for a movie shoot. Worked out fine. Hot water & Cold water taps in tub were mixed up.

Don't waste your money!
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. First after driving for 10 hours and getting lost they tell us they have no reservation for us. They were able to accommodate us but after we saw the room we wished we had turned around and gone elsewhere. The whole place needs a renovation. The room had a weird smell to it, like stale and old. The bathroom were DISGUSTING! The water was brown and the sink and toilets had cracks and holes on it. The curtain was filled with mildew and had the same smell the rest of the room had. The bed was so so but there pillows were horrible they were so flat and not even 3-4 pillows helped. The comforter smelled but the sheets looked clean. The restaurant was ok. Food was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. Staff was ok.
