  • Welcome to our Port Dover home, a perfect place for families and pet lovers. Just a short walk from the vibrant downtown area and the stunning Port Dover beach, this house offers a unique blend of relaxation and adventure.

    Our spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is designed with comfort in mind, providing a welcoming environment for both kids and pets.

    Experience the convenience of being close to downtown Port Dover, where you can explore local shops or partake in the town's lively events.

    The property is a two story house with main bedroom and bathroom on the main floor and 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs. The house features a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for preparing family meals, and a cozy living area where you can unwind after a day exploring Port Dover's attractions.

    We have a crib with sheets, child plates, cups, and utensils and some toys to ensure your little ones have an enjoyable stay as well.

    The main floor is wide enough for a wheelchair or walker.

    The large, fenced yard is perfect for pets to roam and for children to play, complete with a safe play area and outdoor seating and BBQ for family gatherings.

    The nearby beach offers endless fun, from sunbathing and swimming to building sandcastles with the kids. With easy access right from Main Street to the best of Port Dover, our home is a prime location for those seeking a beachside retreat that caters to every family member.

My stay at the Main Street Family Retreat exceeded all expectations. With its unbeatable location, pristine cleanliness, and stylish decor, it's the perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the best of beach town vacation!! I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay!

The bathrooms had moldy tubs and bath mats. The couch was filthy with stains everywhere. There was not enough seating. One couch and two arm chairs for our whole group. One area had no furniture. Kitchen Lazy Susan was broken. Light bulbs were missing from kitchen. Definitely not a 9/10 as advertised.

622 Main Street in Port Dover

Lovely spacious home in a great location. The house was clean and bright and the kitchen was very well equipped. The front sunroom had toys to play with - a great space for young kids- also a swing set and climbing gym in the yard. There were games and puzzles for older kids too. We walked to the beach, dined at our favorite perch restaurant and shopped on Main Street. Would definitely stay here again!

They advertise three bedrooms with queen beds. Only one bedroom with queen beds. The other two bedrooms were doubles. Upstairs washroom was gungy. Kids wouldn’t take showers in that bathroom. The rest of the house met our needs. The outside of the house was full of mold on the exterior and overgrown foliage especially the staircase and balcony which couldn’t be used.

We had an overall lovely stay as a family but there were a few issues. We were contacted by the owner that a flood alarm had gone off in the basement. It was the result of us turning on an outside hose. A relative of the owner came to check on it and discovered a split pipe. Consequently we didn’t have access to the hose. The main floor toilet had an issue where intermittently the tank would not refill. We pointed the empty tank out to the same person who checked on the hose and in a phone call to the owner indicated it would require a plumber. Sadly, a plumber never arrived so we didn’t have access to 2 hoses (one behind the garage didn’t work at all) and we had to remove the toilet tank lid to push a black button for the tank to refill.The black mould the upstairs bathtub was a deterrent to bathing the babies in that tub so we used the downstairs one.We were a group of 8 adults, a 2 year old and an infant.The first day we had to buy a 9 volt battery for a ceiling fan in the living room for it to work.
