When I arrived there was some construction going on in my booked room on the property. So, the reception upgraded me into an executive room because it was there fault. I also had some boxes that I needed to take to Auckland and I did not want to keep them in my car while visiting customers in Hamilton. So, I asked the reception to keep those big boxes with them for two days until I leave the Motel on Friday. They allowed me to do that. Excellent customer service.

I thought I might have noisy neighbours, but it was really quiet once the evening set in. I appreciated the complimentary Whittakers chocolate slab, the Bueno chocolate bar, the mini bag of Rashuns and the Coke can... It was moments like that where you'd need Mintees, so it was great to also have a few of those waiting for me too. Easy check in and out 😁.

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed but the room was sparsely furnished - only one comfortable chair to sit in, no couch, a very small desk and 1 chair - nowhere for friends or visitors to sit. Bathroom was very worn and showing its age. Suitable for my needs but overpriced considering the age and condition.

Was surprised to see a hot tub, didn't notice it in the booking. It was very spacious. There was a trail of ants on the nightstand, si.ple pest control would resolve. It was simple to check in, staff were friendly, felt bery comfortable

No restaurant and very shabby
It was a bit shabby from arrival and it not the room. All a bit tired. The young lady at check in was pleasant and helpful but there is no restaurant or bistro, one of the main reasons we chose this motel at last minute.

Good size room, friendly staff, good location. Bathroom very dated with no exhaust fan, which caused the floor to get very wet causing my wife to slip when getting out of the shower which is located in the bath. too much outside light which made the room too bright at night.

There was a security chain on the door which was broken and could not lock the door from the inside. The room was very old but very clean. I think this hotel is used as emergency accommodation for the government. It was very noisey and busy.

The room itself was lovely comfortable and clean, couldn’t fault it at all. But unfortunately we were kept awake with arguing and yelling by the social/emergency housing people until all hours, which was very frustrating but wasn’t the hotels fault

Not a place I would even consider staying or recommending to anyone I know! Abbot motel you need to make this place more appealing to the eye and definitely update your systems when it comes to that security bond for damages no way can you slap that in someone's face if they too don't have the same policy Infront of them.

Old hotel with social housing residents but Clean
Old hotel and a bit rundown but was CLEAN. When booking you should know it has some local social housing tenants which can be quite confronting, especially as some people could feel unsafe. Was a little noisy but they settled down around 10pm and wasn’t too bad. You could see that the managers have done their best to maintain an old property.

The receptionist on check in was entirely rude, would not provide extra towels and confirmed over the phone that a bond wasn’t needed to be paid, only to check in and the receptionist changed their mind and demanded $100 bond. Night receptionist had a unwelcoming attitude, however, the morning receptionist had a better attitude. Stay with caution as emergency housing stay onsite and will ask for wifi passwords and for smokes. 0.5/5

Dear customerSorry for your bad experience, but the 100 bond is our police which be shown on our website. When you check out, we already returned it to you.Also, the room has 7 towels, and we do service everyday. We are sorry about the inconvenient of WIFI password and no smokes area, we will try to improve this issue as soon as we can. Thanks for your let us know.

Hotel used for social housing. A great number of monthly residences. Spouse was not happy and didn’t feel safe.

Pleasant and comfortable. Friendly staff. In process of upgrading so place looking run down. Not easy to get suitcases up tight stairwell. Need to update online information. No food or drink service available despite promoting they did and unlimited wifi was limited to 98GB. Did have a microwave oven which many places don’t
