"We stayed in the General George Meade room which was located in the Main House- a key location next to the pantry (espresso & Keurig coffee, teas, treats...) and a half bath near pantry (key if you need an extra bathroom!) and lobby and kitchen. The room was spacious, very clean, soft towels, and COMFORTABLE BED, good size shower, great shower head pressure, 2 pillow types to choose from, LOVELY decor and "peace and quiet" only 2 miles from downtown. Also no staff when we checked out. "This was our second time staying at the 1863 Inn at Gettysburg. The room was very clean and the bathroom updated. PROS: Great location! We were able to walk the cemetary and the entire town easily from our location. The location can't beat. Close to stores, restaurants and attractions. CONS: The property is a bit dated. "The inn was ok. Needs more of special touches that an inn has to offer. The staff was not around to help. I had some friends over to the inn and was very grateful they let all of us there for hours to enjoy each other’s company. My friends want to book the whole inn for bike weekend next year. They all liked the inn."
