House was as described. Hot tub and view were very nice. Great place for our family to hang out and relax for a little break. Beautiful beach down below the property. Well outfitted kitchen. Laundry on property is a plus.

Stayed with 2 adults and 3 teens. Stay was ok- not great for the price. They’ve made an effort to update the home but feels a bit like it needs a real overhaul and updates. Clean to naked eye but grimy corners and outside of home could def use a solid spring clean. I wanted to love it but for the what we paid, I’d expect exceptional . Road noise in the upstairs bedroom caused little sleep. Ok with older kids but master is in basement and other bedroom is in loft upstairs. As other reviewers have said- great if you want separation, not if you need to hear younger kids. Stairs to beach were a bit sketchy and a real climb to get back up if you have any mobility challenges. Owners responded promptly to issues we had. I wish them good luck but would recommend updates or reduce price.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is exactly as pictured and the host was excellent at communicating throughout our stay when we had any questions. They also allowed us to check in early to accommodate a nap for our baby. The hot tub and cold plunge was such a highlight for us. Would definitely stay here again!

That view! May include eagles crossing your line of vision while eating breakfast. This house was great for us. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable. And Joule was a great host, checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Hope to come back sometime.

This was the perfect house for our girls trip! But it would've been perfect for any getaway or group: Couples, a family with littles, etc. The house was clean, tastefully decorated and stocked. Everything was as described. The hot tub and cold plunge were dreamy, surrounded by tall trees in the middle of the forest. It was very cool to take the long stairway down to the shore. It's such a cool property. We loved the location too! The hosts were very helpful and responsive.

We had an excellent stay! All the rooms were clean and tidy and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Lots of extra bedding if we needed it, as well as little considerations like beach towels and robes (for the hot tub) and camping chairs. There was a fire ban during our stay, but the wood-heated hot tub had electrical backup heating so we were able to enjoy several hot soaks. The property overlooks a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, and it was so quiet and peaceful at night. I would definitely stay here again!

We spent a week here with our two adult children and our 5-year-old grandchild. The house was perfect for our needs - a full kitchen, outdoor decks in the tree tops, and super comfortable beds. The hot tub and cold plunge were added bonuses and we used them daily. What a treat! Super easy check-in and a responsive host. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Great get away from the city

The property was just perfect for our family getaway from the city. The trip from Vancouver is quick... and shopping on the drive to the house is easy. The house is very well stocked, there was nothing that we found wanting in the kitchen or house. A great selection of jigsaw puzzles and games for the kids. The beds were super comfortable, and the house very clean and tidy. Exploring on the beach daily was the absolutely highlight. Definitely want to come back.

Cute gem in Halfmoon Bay

Quiet location. Amazing patio with view. Took the stairs a few times down to the water (careful can be slippery!) Cozy and enjoyable visit. Owner was very responsive to messages. Steep driveway that needed to be cleared of pine needles (fall visit) for traction. Would definitely stay here again.

Guys Fishing Trip

Fantastic, loved the cedar fired hot tub! Joules is an excellent communicator, quickly replies with answers. Great decor, well stocked place. We had a. Great time here, 4 guys 38 -51. We came to fish for salmon with Trophy Charters. Really enjoyed hanging out at the property. Loved the stairs down to the beach as well. Thanks again Joules, would highly recommend staying here. Joel

A perfect family getaway

If you are looking for a great place to spend time with your family, I recommend this place with a nice view of the ocean. A great, private location, stairs that lead you to the beach. Perfect for a family with children (board games, books, arcade). We had a memorable time.

Cozy getaway

Clean property with a very responsive host. The place is a bit dated, especially the kitchen, but it has a very cozy living area and the wood fired hot tub was very nice. Took a while to get heated but once the temperature starts to rise you have to keep an eye on it. It was just the two of us so we tried sleeping in the downstairs primary bedroom but after one night moved up to the top floor bedroom area. My wife did not care for the basement bedroom set up.

Amazing Place

We stayed here for a work retreat. It was raining so we didn't head down to the beach but the house was perfect for rainy days. Everything we needed was there. The host was responsive whenever I have a question. The only thing was that the driveway was much steeper than I expected and it's downhill. Not great if you drive a pick-up truck but I simply parked at the side of the road.

Ideal for a retreat

The home was perfect for a business planning retreat with my client. The positioning of the bedrooms gave us both privacy for down times and the common areas were perfect for our planning sessions. The kitchen was first class and had everything needed for much more elaborate meals than we prepared. A well supplied kitchen is a indication of a thoughtful host. Which was consistent with our experience from booking, during our stay and beyond. I’m inspired to plan more client retreats here in the future. We enjoyed the beach access (and the workout that is included) too!
