This property was an amazing play to stay. My wife and I wanted to just get away and unplug for a few days and this cabin in the woods gave us just that. There was cell reception in town, but none for us on the property (T-Mobile), but that's kind of the point! It is just steps away from a creek that's large enough to fish in and there are multiple kayaks available to use. The kitchen was fully stocked and had a lot more food than I've seen in other VRBOs. They also had a fully stocked smore station, coffee station, and a kitchen with everything in it you'd need to cook more meals in it. The fully-screened in porch was great to sit out in and they had every kind of board game and a lot of puzzles to kill time during the heat of the day.
We're from a larger city and the tap water tasted great, almost like bottled water if that's as that may be a concern for people that don't like the harder water in some remote locations.
There was a ton of land that our pet loved to run around on and enjoy all of the new scenery and smells :)
Overall this was an amazing stay and truly a gem in the rough. We will definitely be trying to come back down in the fall when it's a little cooler, Alabama summers can be hot for those who aren't used to the southern summers.
