Amazing views, open airy home and lots of room. The home owner was easy to communicate with and we had everything we needed for an amazing vacation on the North Shore. The house is an easy commute to anything you’d want to see and do on the North Shore.

Amazing property right on the beach! We had a wonderful stay, neighborhood is quiet and the beach is stunning and easily accessible. The sound of the ocean and the breeze at night made it so comfortable. We didn’t need much but Glenn was always responsive to questions and gave great suggestions for food options in the area. The house had everything we needed, everyone was happy and we would stay again in a heartbeat.

Anniversary trip

This house was in a great location. Staying ocean front was amazing and listening to the ocean all day and night was definitely a highlight of this location. The house had everything we needed and the communication with Glenn was great! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

Location, Location

You can hear the surf 24 hours a day in every room in the house. The beach 40 feet from the house.It is close to Foodland, Ted’s and all of the great surfing spots and HaliwiaFor dinner restaurantsThe house is well constructed and nicely furnish.

Sleep to the sound of the waves

This house sits right on the shore and you can hear the waves all night long! For us it was a convenient location to explore the island and be out of the Honolulu rush. There is a grocery store and several places to eat a short drive away, as well as an adequate kitchen. The pictures of the furnishings/decor are accurate and the beds and sofas are extremely comfortable. One drawback, if you have a larger group there isn't a good place for everyone to sit together comfortably aside from the dining room table (e.g. the living room only has a 3 seater sofa and two wooden arm chairs in their own area to the side). There were a few minor issues with items not working, but the owner was responsive to all communication, remedied our issues ASAP, and made sure we had a local contact as well. As noted in the description, there is no AC. With the ocean breezes this wasn't a problem during our stay; the evenings and early mornings were very pleasant although it did get a bit warm at the peak of the afternoon heat. However, it is something to keep in mind if you plan to visit during the hottest months of the year. All in all it is a beautiful and comfortable house in a great location with a top notch host! Great value and I'd love to stay here again.

This house really is right on the beach. Amazing waves and going to sleep with the sound was a long forgotten pleasure. Well appointed place with lots of fans. Nice kitchen. Good location.

Perfect North Shore stay

First, the view. You can’t get any better than the waves crashing right past the backyard. Simply beautiful. Beach had a sense of privacy. We could see surfers and beachgoers but our section was quiet. We were near everything. Second, the house. Big and open with fresh ocean breezes blowing in day and night. Beautiful home with a Hawaiian feel. Very clean. We definitely recommend this property and would love to return. feel

Anniversary trip

Really enjoyed the house and location. Glenn was really good with communication and the house was comfortable and clean. There is a bike/walking path all the way down to Sharks Cove or up past Sunset Beach to keep youoff the main highway.

Very good option between Sunset Beach and Rocky Point

It was great to be beach front at beautiful North Shore. House is very good. There are a few issues I think must be stated. Garage is small for full size SUV, as the car should stay outdoors so that the trunk could open. There is no direct beach access during big wave season. Due to erosion, I would say backyard is a place to always keep your eyes on your children. Silverware was enough for one meal. We enjoyed our stay!

Gorgeous spot

The view from the house is absolutely stunning. The house itself and furniture are dated, but all in absolutely good working condition. Beds and linens are very comfortable. There is no air conditioning, but the ocean breeze keeps the house comfortable pretty much at all times. At no point were we suffering from heat. Good excuse to get out in the water too. If you want access to the water, a fabulous view, and a house for 4 then this is your spot.

Beautiful Hawaiian house

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning Hawaiian house, and it was an unforgettable experience. Great view, but dated

We spent a week here, enjoying ocean views from the back patio. The location is great, and the host gives good detailed instructions and is very responsive. The furniture etc is pretty dated, and the kitchen wasn't as well fitted out as would expect. For the price I expected a little more, though we had a nice time there.

Great location, comfortable stay

As a family of 6 (with kids aging from 2 years old to 8 years old) this house was just the right size. It is located at a perfect spot on Sunset Beach, and the outdoor patio and grass were great for the kids. I was thankful to find plenty of beach towels, 3 beach chairs, a handful of sand toys and some snorkel masks! Glenn was SUPER accommodating and a wonderful host. We had a special request and he was more than helpful to meet it!

Terrific Beach House

Loved our time on Sunset beach at this great beach house. Easy beach access, great views, house was clean and well cared for. We swam every day in front of the house, loved walking to Ted’s bakery, and ease of exploring the north shore from this location. Great communication with the owner, check in and out was easy. Highly recommend for your Sunset beach vacation.

Perfect on the north shore

Glorious SUNSET beach

This was a beautiful home - right on the ocean! Here are some of the outstanding things - 1- Master- main bed - great mattress - sheets ( could have used another pillow ) but lovely - opening to the ocean - balcony upstair was used more than downstairs patio 2 - Kitchen - pretty well stocked - blender - pans 3 - beach things - umbrella - chairs - beach towels - they had bikes but we didnt use as it is busy area after you get out behind the gates Felts safe - felts comfortable - It isn't cheap but you pay for the LOCATION and comfort We still love the N SHore and hope to come back some day again sooner vs later THANK YOU

Christmas vacation

Enjoyed the location. Kitchen was nicely appointed to prepare meals. Having 6 adults stay here was a little difficult as the additional beds were very uncomfortable. Our biggest issue was finding space to all relax together as the living room had strange setup with outdated and very limited furniture. Would’ve been nice to have furniture that was a bit newer and appropriate for 6-8 people. Overall great location near surfing, food trucks and getting around different sides of the island.

Fishing, Fun & Birthdays

My hubby & I stay on North Shore every couple years, usually with our sons, who are now adults. We booked Glenn's home because it offered 2 master like bedrooms with their own bathrooms so my sister & her husband could join us. It worked better than we ever dreamed even with our youngest son (who turned 25 during our trip) and his girlfriend joining us! There was more than enough space. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed & Foodland was super close.. We watched dolphins, seals & turtles daily from the beach at the bottom of his stairs.. The sunsets outdid themselves each night. The beds were so comfortable in Glenns home, that we all complained to each other, about the Sheraton coconut beach resort in Kauai after beach hopping for our 1st time. We loved the entire trip but all agreed, next year we'll skip hopping & stay at Glenns for the entire 12 days. My hubby turned 53, ate zippys & caught fish from the beach with his brother in law & son! My son turned 25 and we all enjoyed a spa day filled with lomi lomi massages from the Alauni then had the most incredible dinner in Haleiwa at Bonzai sushi. Us girls enjoyed paddleboarding, hiking, snorkling the reef & eating shrimp tacos at North Shore taco truck.. It was the best family trip in the best rental we've had on North Shore! Thank you Glenn - we'll see you again soon!!
