Southern Dunes is a Gem

Third time staying at this property and loved the experience. Wonderful course, house is in a great location and conveniently located to the clubhouse. We will be back next year.

We really enjoyed our stay. This property was amazing ! Plenty of room for everyone, nice pool, nice game room, great neighborhood. There were even bicycles available for the younger people to use.

This property was spotless on arrival. This house well equipped with everything you need. The property management team were excellent to deal with and I would highly recommend this house for a stay.

Info not in the Listening

Place was great, it look just as the pictures shown. I was very disappointed that the listing said that there was cable/satellite and there was not. There was a binder with instructions at the house that said use your own streaming services. Aslo the pool was under video surveillance and that was not stated in the listing. We got the house for privacy so we didn't have to share a pool. I understand that the surveillance is probably for safety but it should have been stated in the listing. I personally wouldn't have stayed there knowing there was surveillance in area's that my family would gather in. Outside surveillance is fine and there was that too that was also not in the listing.

Great views - has 4 bedrooms/3 baths. However the house structure has some bothersome designs that would not be associated with a premier house (example - no good place to hang bath towels). The biggest complaint is the lack of quality towels, the lack of a quality coffee maker, the lack of complete silverware and other shortcomings that could be easily fixed with a regular check and replacement of these items before they are worn out and obsolete.

Enjoyable Vacation

Our family rented this property for a vacation. We enjoyed the area so much. It was close to Legoland, Disney and Orlando. We would highly recommend this property.

Great house!

We loved this property! It was clean, had a very well equipped kitchen and the beds (and pillows) were great. We have no complaints at all and would be happy to return again to the same property.

Great house for a golf trip

Property is in nice shape and very convenient as a hub for playing golf at various golf courses in the area especially the great Southern Dunes Golf Club. Enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.

Great Vacation Home for the price!

The owners are an absolute pleasure to deal with. The home is in good, used condition. The interior could definitely use some updating as far as furniture and appliances. Overall the home was clean but could have been cleaner. I notified the homeowner directly after we departed of my specific concerns. The game room is as described in other reviews. A pool table with broken pool cues, an air hockey table that doesn't have air or light up and a fusball (SP?) table. The game "room" is actually the garage. The pool area was clean and the pool was clean as well and there was a net to skim any debri that came in. The patio furniture was in good condition. Overall, for the price, we would stay there again. I do hope the owners are responsive to my private communication regarding some minor and major improvements that are needed.

Good Vacation Home

The only issue we had was with the pool. It was quite dirty, we didn't let the kids use it. Besides that everything was great. The rooms were very clean, along with the bathrooms. I would still stay here again.

Clean and welcoming home - would rent here again!

I stayed on this property with an adult friend for 4 nights as we were here for the Haines City 70.3 triathlon. The home is located in the large gated community of "Southern Dunes" and contains a golf course. This must be the place to be because I felt like I was staying in "Athlete's Village" since the location is only about a 10-15 minute drive to Lake Eva for our event and there were lots of other triathletes occasionally riding their bikes or running on the streets (which I felt very safe doing.) Overall House: Very clean! It has a great set-up, pretty open, and I enjoyed the tile in the main areas. Lot's of space throughout and plenty of room for guests. We visited two other homes in the development where our friends were and I must say we had the better one. Bedrooms/ Bathrooms: There are 4 - we used only the two single bed ones that had their own master baths. The other two rooms have 2 twin beds each with a full BR in between. The master mattress was a bit uncomfortable and may need replacing down the road - the other queen mattress was fine. The BR's come with hairdryers so don't pack one. Pool: Since it was already warm in April, we did not pay to have the pool heated. There is a solar cover on the pool which does the job as the water was just fine. We removed the cover and kept it off for our duration. Be careful removing the cover as you will undoubtedly get some of the debris (on top) into the pool water. There are skimmers to use to clean the pool and any floating bugs. I also enjoyed watching the people tee off from the back yard since we are right on the course. Kitchen: Looks like newer appliances and even has the small essentials like wine openers, wine glasses and even martini glasses! Definitely room to move around cook. Game room: Needs some attention as there was only one working pool stick (we didn't play) and the air hockey looked so-so however the foosball table was a hit. There were some small incidentals but when brought to the attention of Misti (our prop mgr), she immediately handled it. Thank you! As a renter it is important to email/ call the prop mgt company to let them know of things in need of repair/attention as the owners may not have been back in a while to address and corrections can't be made if no one is made aware of them. I brought up a few things to Misti which I'm certain she followed up on for the next guests. Great location - Walmart and Winn Dixie at Southern Dunes entry!
