This place is so charming and has beautiful ocean views. It is spotless and super well organized. Linens and towels were all very nice quality. And the included breakfast is convenient and would appeal to everyone. We were in Room 3 which is so pretty. Highly recommend this place.

The room was clean and spacious with an AC unit for the warmer afternoons/evenings. There was fresh fruit and breakfast self serve available and some chickens to greet you. If you are looking to make a big meal, there are few options for large serving bowls/platters but for 2 people it was just fine. The host came and ran the dishwasher and replenished the breakfast foods while we were out and about each day.

Excellent stay on the North side of Maui. Spacious room in a very peaceful and beautiful location. Convenient to both the Road to Hana and the Haleakala Crater. Clean in general, but would ask the host (we never met in person) to pay attention to the counter and windowsills in the kitchen when they come by to run the dishwasher in the morning, as they should be cleaned (these are outside the area guests are asked to clean after using the kitchen).

The property is well laid out, clean, quiet, and safe, away from the bustle and noise of Kahului. Why not 5 stars? We arrived late at night after a long flight from the mainland. Our assigned room had been programmed with the correct door code, but it was not ready for occupancy; it had not been cleaned or “turned over” from the previous renter. Calls to the host’s help numbers were unanswered. The host was eventually reached and did his best to make things right, giving us a clean room (which was very nice) at a discounted rate. The big frustration was calling Expedia/Vrbo’s 7/24 help line. Don’t believe their commercials, and don’t expect help to be their first priority. Expect someone in a noisy foreign call center who is following a protocol. The protocol demands that the customer send via email pictures of the problem. This was a very uncertain and time consuming undertaking in a rural area with minimal cell coverage. Only after finally receiving the pictures did that person’s supervisor contact the host. Lesson learned: always call the host before you venture out to the hinterland in the dead of night to confirm that your room is indeed ready. Don’t expect much help from the Vrbo help line. Remember that even the best host, being human, can make an honest mistake.
