  • Relax with the family at this peaceful retreat and spectacular view of the Potomac River at the Northern Neck. Unwind and enjoy the river view from the backyard. The house is located in the enclave of the Potomac River. This vacation home features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a TV with basic channels, free WIFI, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a patio with river views, and a 50 ft dock for your fishing, crabbing, or just enjoying the sunrise and sunset. This also made a perfect romantic getaway spot for two.

It was wonderful to enjoy the sunrise directly out our back door. We enjoyed fishing (successfully!) from the pier and relaxing on the patio. We even got to see a dolphin and schools of stingrays/skates. The host was quick to respond to all communications, and corrected a minor issue in a very satisfactory manner. We can't wait to go back again!

My husband and I had a great 3 day getaway here. The view was spectacular! The convenience from walking to the dock to the house was awesome! The only “bad” thing I would say is the water….it has an awful sulfur smell that is very strong. Overall, we loved our stay & would stay here again!

The place was clean. Easy access. Great fishing from the pier. Bring the little extras you prefer from home. Coffee. Creamer. Special knife or sheet pan. This place was wonderful and relaxing. I traveled with my mother and 2 sisters. The one tub is on a step but the however in the back bathroom is a walk in shower if you have mobility issues. We appreciated the view and the sound of the water. Thank you so much! We will be back.

Family Vacation

This was our second time staying here and couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot. We had a great week of fishing, crabbing and just spending time together. Can't wait for our next visit!

Our stay was exactly what we we're hoping for. We grew up in the area and really enjoyed being able to go back. We had a great time, and we will be renting this house again.

Gorgeous views

We loved this place! Being right on the water was so beautiful and peaceful. The place is spacious and clean, and it had plenty of room for our family with teens. We found two fun waterfront restaurants nearby too. We would love to go back!

Get Away Weekend

Northern Meck right on the water

We enjoyed this place. The back porch was great for looking out on the water. Enjoyed a moon rise first evening. Historical area. You should go and stay!

Summer Vacation

We had a great week of vacation at this little hidden gem. We spent a lot of our time fishing as a family and just sitting on the dock listening to the waves. This was a quiet area, but not too far from quaint little towns to visit. Would definitely recommend it.

House is decent, fits the basic needs but you want to rent this place for the amazing view and waterfront space. Absolutely beautiful! Quiet neighbourhood too.

Riverfront relaxation

We had a wonderful stay. The house was just as described, a cozy cottage perfect for relaxing with beautiful riverfront views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the living room and main bedroom we used were comfortable, and the sun porch had great views where you could relax in the AC. The patio had a great dining table/umbrella, and the dock was perfect for fishing. Thank you for a lovely getaway cottage!

The place is a little outdated but very charming...the only reason I say outdated is because we could not use the shower in the main bathroom, there was no water pressure, just a dribble. Other than that, I would stay there again.
