Wonderful Property!
The home is in a great location, on a small pond with lovely views of the mountains. It's a terrific place to enjoy both Gunnison and Crested Butte. The owners are terrific hosts who encouraged us to enjoy the baby goats, ducks and chickens on the property. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked. We're looking forward to coming back and staying longer next time!

Nice place to stay. Clean, quiet and equipped. Beds are a bit soft but each to his own. We initially had communication issues with the owner since his vm was full but got through about 30 minutes of arrival and got the code to the door. He called back to confirm we got in which was good. Very pleasant stay!

Great place to stay in Gunnision!
We loved staying here! It was super convenient to drive into Gunnison as it was only 3 minutes. It was right off the highway. Everything inside is dated but it is functional and clean. They have a little pond that ducks and swans go to, that my kids loved to watch. They have chickens and goats as well. It was a great place to stay at with small kids (ages 2 & 5).I highly recommend!

Lovely location, close to the river
A buddy and I stayed to do some fishing. The location was excellent, less than one mile from the boat ramp and a restaurant. The house is out of town enough but is still plenty close to get supplies, etc. We loved the grounds. The pond is beautiful, and the birds and goats around were very nice. The owners are on the land in a different house, and were very helpful throughout. The unit itself is not really updated, but is plenty comfortable. I look forward to taking my wife back to stay there sometime soon.

Quiet getaway!
This location is a gem! The house sits on a quiet lot with beautiful views from every direction. Close to town if you need supplies, and far enough away from town to feel like you are away from the busyness. The owner was very kind and friendly and generous! We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful escape to the past.
My husband and I needed to escape for a few days. This little cabin sits on a private lake with ducks. The driveway is shared with the owners who are friendly but non obtrusive. You are encouraged to recycle and there are well labeled recycle bins in the garage. The cabin decor is rustic and comfortable with a retro vibe that we found quite charming . We never ventured up the ladder to the third bedroom. The other parts of the house are fairly level with few steps. We were very happy with our few days here.

Enjoy Ed the location. Lovely pond . Very close to Gunnison. Nice appliances. Good layout of house. I would have like to have a few more family games available. Clean and quiet. Easy parking.

Gunnison fishing trip
This was our annual trip to fish the Gunnison area. House was perfect location for us to fish the area and has everything needed. Listing should probably do a better job of showing that a ladder is the way to access the loft and makes it difficult to get your stuff up there. You would need to be very careful with kids or anyone with any difficulties climbing a steep ladder. It was fine for me and only a minor inconvenience, but could be a problem for many. Beds up stairs were firm and comfortable but my buddies said the main bedroom mattresses were not, too broke down. Overall very good and we would stay again. Decor is pretty dated but not an issue for us at all. We were there to fish and be comfortable.

Great Vacation Spot

What a fantastic anniversary weekend!
We were out for a three day anniversary weekend to Enjoy Gunnison, Crested Butte and the surrounding area with hiking, jeeping, and relaxing on our agenda. This home was centrally located for everything we wanted to do. The home was clean, quite and relaxing. Loved all the animals, the pond and location. Hosts were easy to work with and communicated effectively. We would stay here again and recommend to any friends staying in the area

Lovely place in a great location with awesome hosts
This is my second time staying here. Chris and his wife are great. They have two very cool goats that are very social. The power went out one late evening and Chris brought over candles and asked if we needed anything. Place has about everything you need for a great stay in the mountains. Washer and dryer are cool to have after a day of biking. Within walking distance to Garlics Mikes, 25 min to CB, 10 or less to Almont, 5 to downtown Gunny. Thanks again Chris and family

Nice comfortable house
A friend and I wanted to visit Lake City and Crested Butte so this was a great location. Chris, the owner, lived next door and was very nice and helpful, but didn’t interfere at all. Place was comfortable. Had an issue with dirty dishes in cupboards, but addressed it directly with Chris. Would recommend!

Gunnison Guest House
This property is clean and easily accessible from either Gunnison or Crested Butte, The owners were available to us but not invasive, and in winter months the garage, fireplace and firepit would be great. July is mosquito month, but if you have bug repellent you'll get to enjoy the beautiful pond, too. Very nice!

House was close to town, clean. Was a little dated but overall fine. The master bed mattress was very soft but was worn in the middle which pulled you to the center of the bed. If you are short you might have a hard time getting into the master bedroom bathtub, it is quite high.

Great spot!
We had a great time staying here! This property is the perfect hangout spot. The yard is great. The deck is great. Inside is the perfect space for the family to hang out. Chris, the host, was very accommodating. The location is perfect just a few minutes north of downtown Gunnison. Overall, very happy staying here!

Fantastic Home Away From Home!
Our group of fishermen spent 5 days at this property and fished blue mesa. We do this kind of thing often and truly appreciate nice hosts who have a nice place. The beds are super comfortable, the space is clean and easy to get to and close to the river and fantastic restaurants. The scenery in the front yard was great and they didn't mind us playing cornhole in the driveway. Nothing but good things to say about the property. We'll be back for sure.

Cozy, great location
This is a nice peaceful property, convenient to town and CB. Though we stayed when opening windows wasn't necessary, traffic noise from the lightly-traveled highway was minimal. A little dated, but clean, everything you need, and the price was right. The hosts are right next door and accessible and friendly. Be sure to befriend Dale the goose!

We really enjoyed our stay. This is a lovely home that is located in a nice neighborhood outside of town. Chris was a wonderful host and very attentive to our needs and questions. There was plenty of room and it was well stocked with all we needed. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was perfect. The location was close enough to both Gunnison and Crested Butte that it was easy to visit both places. The house was cozy and out of the way. Communication was excellent. I am sure we will be back again.

Comfy, Cozy, but Shower a Trickle . . .
Cute house set back from the road. Great property location. Other reviews have cited our primary hesitation with giving all top scores. The shower trickle is a challenge. We had a kiddo who wanted a bath. That simply does not happen with a trickle - you cannot fill a tub because the water gets cold while you're waiting. Adults attempting to shower all thought they were doing something wrong. "Trickle" is no exaggeration. Good washer and dryer, as well as dishwasher. Easy check in and we enjoyed the ducks, geese, and goats. All made for a charming stay. Our kiddo loved the hammock and spent a fair amount of time out there. I work online and appreciated the fast wifi. Beds were comfy and well appointed. If the trickle can be remedied, this property would be a winner in all respects. If a good shower stream isn't a priority for you, I recommend this property!

Wedding in Gunnison
Perfect for what we needed. Wedding was at Garlic Mike's - just across the street. Plenty of room for all the guys to get ready and head over with no worries of traffic. Clean and well appointed - love the geese and goats! ** Be patient with the shower, hot water takes a bit and pressure is not the best. We would stay here again for sure!

Wildflower weekend
