Easy
Cabin is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Gate is narrow if you have a trailer. Nice patio and outdoor seating. Living area open and comfortable. Bedroom is barely biger than the bed. Bathroom is small but servicable ( get rid of the vanity mirror cabinet so that a person can use the sink). Loft is fine but watch your head. Good pplace to stay overall.

Thank you we are in the process of renovating both cabins. We will be turning the garage into a master bedroom/bathroom, so that will take care of the small bedroom/bathroom problem 😉 Next time you come and stay with us the job will be done, 🤞 hopefully.

Perfect Location
Grandpa’s Cabin was terrific for our family trip to Gunnison. The cabin is set up well. The place is super clean and well-maintained. There is one bathroom, one bedroom, and a loft with large, super-comfortable bed. With the pullouts, you could easily sleep six folks. This is right on the Gunnison River which is fabulous. Between the outside fire pit and the inside fireplace, we were both at peace and in comfort ! 😀

Wonderful Cabin
A beautiful cabin in a beautiful location! We enjoyed our stay so much. Cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Our hostess, Jenny, was very helpful and friendly! It is a minor thing, but we would have enjoyed the fireplace if we had been able. We would love to come back next year!!

A little piece of heaven
Grandpa Cabin was great. We loved the location being right on the river and next door to Garlic Mike’s. The accommodations were very comfortable. Enjoyed the back covered patio during the day and fire pit by the water at night.

Beautiful property. Gunnison river alone would be worth the trip. I The cabin was perfect. Location was perfect! The walking paths are beautiful. Wildlife was plenty, 2 large bucks, doe with fawns. Thank you for such an easy and perfect “home” on the river! We will stay here again!

4th hunting season
The cabin was perfect and amazing for our stay for the 4th season hunting we had. The only thing i would have liked to make it absolutely perfect instead of perfect was a motion light on the big parking area on the backside(garage side) that lights the parking up for loading and unloading upon arrivals and departure (especially when someone has a trailer in tow. Thanks for the wonderful experience of this rental.

elk week at grandpas
the stay was great. location was terrific , 1.5 miles from the store. 3/4 mile to road for turn off for the hunting area. had a couple issues but was not a big deal after we talked them out . not even worth mentioning. all in all great time and great place.and dealing with jenny was a great experiance. hope to be able to deal with her again next year.

Beautiful views and outdoor space
Great location and we really enjoyed the fire pit by the river. Only thing that would make it better is a new mattress on main floor bedroom. I didn’t notice it on other stays but this time I actually moved to the couch. I have stayed here multiple times. Will stay again!

I am so sorry about the mattress. The owner found out about it right after your stay and took care of it right away. I am truly sorry for the discomfort, but it has been resolved. Please come and stay with us again.

Didn’t want to leave!!!
We visit Gunnison a lot and this cabin was amazing. The view and sounds of the river were so relaxing. This is a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back.

Great Work Grandpa!
This is a very nice, updated, private cabin with plenty of room just steps from the Gunnison River. Equipped with a beautiful roofed deck, a very large gas grill, and a riverside wood-burning fire pit. Communication with Jenny is very reliable and she is very accommodating to requests. The grill was out of propane when I arrived and with a simple text it was replaced with a full cylinder within minutes. I would certainly stay here again when I'm in Gunnison!

Wonderful getaway
The location is convenient to downtown Gunnison but you feel further out. Being by the river was so relaxing and peaceful. Cant wait to return!

Beautiful stay
Loved the stay! With the river right out the back door it was amazing. We took advantage of a nice fire in the fire pit in the evening. Close to lots of activities. Had everything we needed.

Perfect mountain getaway
First vacation with our infant and it could not have been better. The location of Gunnison is really close to a lot of mountain, parks, and forest attractions. And the cabin is second to none. Great location on the Gunnison River. Will definitely be back to this cabin in the future. Easy check in and check out process and great communication with the property manager. 10/10!

Relaxing getaway
The summer heat of Austin, Texas had us searching for a cool getaway. The scenic drive to Gunnison was amazing. The town had a quiet charm. Sitting along the river was calming. We loved the coziness of the place and will make it on our list of places to visit again.

Gorgeous waterfront!
What a charming place! So clean and the location cannot be beat. This cozy cabin feels like a hug when you walk in. We were there to drop our son off at Western University and it was such a lovely way to hang out together before that. Just a few steps to sit and watch the river, biking trails right across the street and a quick trip in to Crested Butte for some exploring there as well. I would highly recommend this lovely spot!
