The check in process was seamless and so easy. The host kept in contact throughout our stay and was very helpful. She had games, books and even all the beach stuff needed to enjoy our stay. The home was clean and very nice. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, dishes and silverware. The neighborhood was as very quiet and pleasant. I will definitely keep this property in mind for future stays. It also had more than enough room for my large family of 8. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking to be close to the beach, fun activities and/ or just looking to relax!!!

Beach and Baseball

We came to watch our grandson play baseball but because of our proximity to the beach we also got to enjoy the waves and the water between games. The house was exceptionally clean. I need to know their secret - that close to the beach and not a grain of sand on the floor. Also close to great restaurants. Plenty of fans to keep the air circulating in the heat of the day.The only thing that would have made our stay better was if our grandson had won his game.

Very roomy. The water pressure in the two bathrooms could have been better. Close to the beach and the neighbor, Kyle, who you share the driveway with, could not be nicer. Would definitely come back again.

Perfect vacation

The property was the perfect place for our family. It was close to the beach and easy to get to. We enjoyed every day we had in Gulfport. The house was well cared for and had everything we needed to feel at home. The host was very accommodating and if we needed something, it was taken care of right away.

2024 Family Reunion

The house was beautiful. It was the perfect size for our group of 9. The neighborhood was perfect location and close to the beach. The host was awesome. The only small issue we had was yard is fenced but had alot of spaces for dogs to get out and dogs next door kept getting heads under fence and they were not friendly.

Great Place Close to Beach and Casinos

This house was very comfortable. It was me and my husband and our 2 small dogs. This place is perfect if you have a lot of people with plenty of sleeping accommodations. We only used master suite. King bed was very comfortable. We will go back the next time we are in the area!

Great Weekend in Gulfport

My 3 sons and 2 friends joined us for our stay in Gulfport from October 27-30. We fished the Chandeleur Is on October 28 & 29. The location of the house was extremely convenient to any thing we needed. Never had to drive more than 3 miles for anything other than to the airport to depart. The neighborhood is really quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. The house had everything we needed from plenty of beds to a great A/C system. The description of amenities was very accurate. The Hostess, Debra could not have been anymore helpful from an early check-in to a later checkout. Debra was extremely responsive to any question we had. It was enjoyable to talk to her. I really hope we can get the house for our next trip to Gulfport, a really cool little city on the Gulf.

A Really Nice Home Away from Home

This is a nice, roomy house for a bunch. Six of us felt like we had enough room. The kitchen's a little tight, depending on the cook and the size of the meal. It did seem like more than two blocks to the beach. As Debra says, the house is near the RR tracks. It didn't bother us, but know that the train trundles by a few times/day. Debra is a fantastic host. Very welcoming and responsive. We would stay again should we return to Long Beach

Lovely little place to stay, super clean!

We had a wonderful time staying at Mermaid House. The owner was extremely pleasant and easy to communicate with with an almost immediate response time. She even offered to bring us donuts one morning which I thought was really thoughtful. I have been burned once with a bad VRBO but her place was exactly as described! The beach towels and chairs were very nice to have because we did not have to pack them from home. Close enough to walk to the beach but we drove because we our family never travels light. 😆 We will most certainly book here again the next time we come to Gulfport. Thank you for giving us a great VRBO redemption!!

Mermaid House

This house was great! It was big enough that our family had room to spread out, but still spend time together. Kitchen was well stocked for us to be able to cook a few meals. Location was good. Quiet neighborhood, just a short drive to the beach. The only complaint I got from the family was the mattresses in the back bedroom were a bit thin. Would be good for young people under 30! Other than that, was a great place and would stay here again.
