    White sandy beaches mere steps from your door sounds like paradise, and it can be yours when you stay here at the Sandbox on the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy waking up to the sounds of serene ocean waves, birds, and the dolphins playing. With no shortage of things to do, sights to see, and things to experience, you and your group will create memories that will last a lifetime. Para sail, boat, fish, snorkel, paddle board, and do every other waterfront activity imaginable. After playing on the beach, explore historical landmarks, tour downtown and find local eateries, and discover family friendly attractions. Play a few rounds on the top-ranked Kiva Dunes Golf Course, or challenge your loved ones to some rounds of tennis on the nearby courts.



    Inside you'll find a bright interior and welcoming air throughout. Gather around the comfortable furniture and enjoy good conversations or host a movie night on the TV. Hobby chefs will love preparing home-cooked meals in the full kitchen, equipped with all the cupboard space you'll ever need and a long breakfast bar that sits at least five. With four bedrooms and eleven beds, there are plenty of places to rest your head from the day's activities. Kids will love bunking together and making memories in the bunk beds that they'll remember forever. Sip your morning coffee on the patio and bask in the Gulf of Mexico sunrise reflecting on the water, feeling your cares melt away.

The house is very old. Walls need to be fixed an fixtures need updated. The steps walking up to the door has no light and it's very dark. Ceiling and upper walls are very dusty. The view and the distance to the Gulf was wonderful, and we loved the deck.

Great spot for 2 families with several small children. Our kids loved hanging out in the bunk bed room. There are 3 bunk beds and a smart TV in the upstairs kids room and they loved it. The location is great being right on the beach. There was only one day when the beach was crowded from the nearby condos. The house and furniture was a little dated but was very clean. The only complaint we had was the girl that stayed in the downstairs room with 2 beds said the beds smelled like dogs. There is new flooring throughout the house and we enjoyed hanging out on the living room and on the deck. We would definitely stay here again. I was able to walk down to the causeway with my boys to let them find hermit crabs and we were close enough to everything but not too close to the busiest part of the beach.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed, and we were very disappointed. The house being old doesn't bother me. We have stayed at several very old homes, but the difference is that they were still clean, nicely furnished, and maintained. This was very shabby and gross looking everywhere, and it made it hard to relax. I loved the number of rooms and layout of the house, but the bedcovers are all old, the beds are uncomfortable and dented in, the bathrooms are ugly and gross, and the living room furniture was disgusting and covered in black grease. The kitchen was ill-equipped and didn't even have oven mitts. Looked like random stuff from a yard sale. Sand just swept under the couches. The pans that were there were all peeling the coating. There were towels, and that was about it. We had to purchase blankets to throw over the couches so we could just sit on them. The chairs on the back porch couldn't hold 200 pounds and were bending at the legs. The "table" in the kitchen is completely broken. I just don't understand. It has potential, but it is the ugliest house on the beach. The windows weren't cleaned. A panel on the parking area fell down and could have hit my car or hurt someone. There is no manual about trash day or anything. It's just not the level of comfort, organization, or cleanliness/niceness you expect, especially for this price or higher. We enjoyed ourselves despite the house, but I don't recommend it unless you have a bunch of people and just want to party.

The only thing this property had going for it was the location. It was a nice walk to the beach and it was a “private beach” in a sense . The dog friendly was a plus as well. But the property was out dated and literally falling apart ! And they need to hire new cleaners . It was dirty the couches were black and it smelt like mold and dog pee the whole time . The showers had mold in them and the ceiling was literally peeling off . There was a hole in the wall. And the pots and pans were filthy . We had to wash them before we could even cook on them. Plus the cabinets the pots were stored in had garbage and flies all over them. Dead and alive. And knats in all the windows. And You literally are just paying for the location. In my opinion it needs to be lower on price . Then you get to the outdoor patio and the chairs are crumbling and broke . As if the house falling apart wasn’t enough. The only good thing was the host was awesome and easy to communicate with. But they definitely need to hire new cleaners and do some renovations before the whole house caves in. Also the trash was awful, it seemed to not be put out for weeks . Smelt it all the way from outside into the house . We are definitely booking a different house next year .
