Steps away from the beach, POOL- shared between 3 houses-

  • A fantastic Find.
    Built in 2014, ocean view from every window, large deck with furniture facing the beach. It is located in a beach community. (very private).
    Sugar Shack is professionally decorated. It features tall ceilings, lots of granite, stainless steel appl. and most important luxurious beds and linen.
    There are 3 bedrooms with their own private baths and 2 captain beds. Also a private sitting area on the 2nd floor.
    Pets are not allowed. The pool is shared between all 3 properties.
    No smoking.

    We also have 2 other properties that sit on either side of "Sugar Shack" and can accommodate up to 28 adults.

Great stay at the Sugar Shack. The host is so kind and helpful. It was super clean and comfortable. The beach is private to local neighbors. The kids loved the pool too.

Fantastic Place to Stay

This is an excellent property that goes above and beyond in comfort and has a prime location with private beach access. Everything is in top notch condition and was very clean. Our kids loved the vacation and we would not hesitate to return here again!

We truly had the best time. It’s a beautiful property! It’s a short walk to the beach, and having pool access was also a plus! Check in and out we’re easy, and the home owner was easy to get in touch with, and never made us feel like an inconvenience. We will stay again!

Great place to stay if you love the beach!

Family had a blast on the beach and in the pool. Beds were comfortable and clean along with everything else in the house. More towels would have been nice as we had to wash them everyday and remember to bring a beach towel. It was a fun stay and will book again for a future beach vacation.

Excellent house and location

The overall experience was wonderful. Excellent host family and the house was perfect. Location to the beach was very convenient and the beach was beautiful. My only wish is that the pool had been heated for spring break. We missed swimming.

Wonderful stay

Sugar Shack is beautiful and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Karen was quick to respond and very helpful during the booking and check in process. Clean and spacious enough for our 8. Although not right on the beach it is just a short walk. The pool is right by the house. The neighbor was nice and quiet.

Family vacation

Our family had 2 neighboring houses owned by the same people. Our houses shared a pool and was just a short walk to the beach. Cleaning staff was super helpful and so nice. We couldn't go through just the owners so a lot of communication leading up to vacation was via VRBO. For our family of 12 it worked out nicely.

Home away from home for large family

Part of our family stayed at Sugar Shack while the others stayed next door. Sugar shack was equipped with so many necessities- booster seat, baby gate, blender, etc. You really can’t beat the pool and beach access for a large group. Comfortable couches and beds. We deducted one star for cleanliness as the tub was dirty. We were asking to check in early so maybe the cleaning staff was hurrying trying to accommodate us. Regardless, we’ll be back!

Best Family Getaway!

We had the best time! We were in town for one of my daughters cheer competition at the Wharf. We loved this home!! The beds were comfortable and clean! They provide all the amenities you could need! The beach was so close and not busy at all! We even were able to see some dolphins. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Our youngest loved the pool! It was definitely cooler temps but she didnt mind!;) We were here during a pretty big hail storm and its was a bit scary but this house is very sturdy and well built! Thankfully our car was safely parked under the home too. :) Sitting on the deck during the day is so peaceful. The Sassy Bass down the road was wonderful. Next to it they have a market where you can find pretty much anything you might need. They also sell the best pizza!! If you are looking to escape the busy beaches this is the spot! I think this was one of our favorite homes we have ever rented. We will definitely be back soon! Thanks for sharing your home.

Sugar Shack for the Win

This is our second time staying at the Sugar Shack and just like before everything was perfect. Easy Beach access, Clean and well appointed property and Karen is a dream to work with. Even added ESPN to the TVs so we could watch Texas A&M in the College World Series. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Such a terrible experience…when you have to leave

Yes I’m kidding, nothing terrible about it. Everything about the house was perfect, clean, correctly advertised, etcetera. Karen is absolutely awesome and great to talk to when going over the house. I accidentally met her two sisters and I was equally impressed with them. I really like the area because it’s not such a tourist trap like orange beach, yet if you want that it is close by. You can’t get closer to the beach. The constant breeze from the gulf was amazing and my family really enjoyed the stay here. I will always be looking to book each year from now on going forward. Karen is five star all the way. The house has everything you could possibly need. Once you get to know Fort Morgan you will realize you do not have to drive to Gulf Shores or Orange beach for anything. Look around you. See you next year

We loved our stay here! You basically feel like you are on the beach. The neighbors were very friendly (mostly owners due to the time of year). Very clean for the most part and had everything we needed for your short stay. Would come back again! :)
